American made quality
I own the original DCM Time Windows (Bob Waterstripe's Tweaked Edition) and was faced with trying to fine a speaker stand that would accommodate the Time Window base and happen upon VTI-DF series. Yes, they look like a duck foot but their construction is heavy duty and well designed. These are center speaker stands with a 15-degree incline but can be easily modified by adding a wooden "shim" along the length of the raised speaker platform (rear of platform) to produce a level speaker base. These are American made and well worth the money. Excellent build quality, high-quality material and will arrived well packaged. Some assemble required. Highly recommended.

I returned these speaker stands.
I had to return these speaker stands. They are built solid, but did not serve my purpose for surround speakers. The sit very low off the ground.

High quality, nice looking, but need new photos
I needed short speaker stands to get the speakers to ear level. These were the best looking (for our house) and most sturdy ones I could find. I did research the company's website, so I knew about the 6° angled top plate. Remember, these stands were designed for center channel speakers which typically need to be angled upwards. The spikes also includes disks to keep the spikes from harming a wood surface. They work fine. I used spikes in the rear only, which made the stands level (best for my use). The top plate can be rotated 90° for using with left/right speakers. I filled the tube with lead shot to deaden the stands. You can also use sand, as VTI provides a gasket to prevent the sand from leaking, a nice touch. As noted below, VTI has a logo cast in the bottom plate. This is NOT shown in the photos (either on Amazon or their website). They should take new photos. I wasn't thrilled with it, but it does look better than a sticker, I guess. I'm considering a little black paint to cover the shiny surface. I recommend that VTI do the same. All in all, I'm very happy with the stands.

Manufacturing defect, poor customer service.
Like others I had problems with this stand. I really wanted it to work since it matches my other speaker stands and is low enough to fit under the TV.The mounting plate inside the top of the tube was misaligned with the cut causing the stand to be tilted horizontally (see the bottom right of the attached photo).I exchanged several with seller, including pictures showing the problem, but they deflected and refused to recognise there was a problem and wanted to charge me return shipping fees.So I decided to fix it myself by drilling a new hole in the top plate so it would be aligned properly with the tube.SUCCESS - works as it should now.See attached photo showing before, after and where I drilled the hole.

It serves a purpose but there are two issues:The included double-sided adhesive dots that serve to keep the speaker secure are terrible. My speaker was not $500 and consequently the wood finish is simulated. Removing it now, at this point, would damage the speaker. Had I been thinking about this, I would have gone to a hardware store and bought silicone feet for $1.00.The "VTI" logo on the speaker stand base is ugly and is not pictured here.Otherwise, it's OK and serves it's purpose.

Lots of problems with this stand. The tube was cut inaccurately at the top, causing the speaker to be 1/4" higher on one side. I received a second pole, and it was also cut bad. By putting a level on the top of the pole it was obviously wrong. The second pole also had misaligned cable routing holes, i.e., you couldn't have the top plate straight and still run your cable down it.IF you can get parts that are fabricated correctly, then this would be a nice solid stand. On the plus side, customer service was good and made it right, so I'm giving them 2 stars for that.

Worked awesome! I used two for my large center channel still $300 less than buying the factory speaker stand. I used easy liner super grip to keep my speaker from slipping. I used a hairdryer to remove the vti label
