I have never been much of a soap bar fan but seeing some of the videos on the traditional way this kind of soap is made in the Middle East made me curious. This brand was the first one I tried, I got a bar of it on eBay. I ended up loving it so much that I hunted the seller down here on Amazon and have now purchased another six bars on Subscribe and Save. I never want to run out of it. I first tried it on my body and was amazed. I don't like artificial or heavy fragrances, at first I thought this had none at all but by the second time I used it, I detected a slight, lovely, natural fragrance from the olive to which I am now addicted. I often pick up the dry bar when I go into the bathroom just to hold it to my nose, the aroma is so comforting. You have to get that close to smell it, there is no scent wafting around the bathroom or left after rinsing it off. No soap has ever made my skin feel very good until this one, if they claimed to be moisturizing, they left a coating on my skin. This doesn't do that at all, it leaves my skin squeaky clean but not dried out. After seeing so many reviews where people raved about it for their hair, I got the courage to try that. Years ago I tried regular soap such as Ivory on my hair, it made it frizzy and all puffed up. Detergent-based shampoos, liquid or bars, even the non-sulfate ones, left my hair limp and dry and irritated my scalp. I tried several soap-based shampoo bars, some were not bad for my hair but eventually irritated my scalp. So I had no expectations that this would be any better. I was shocked when I applied this soap to feel my hair turn into silk. I didn't even use conditioner and after I towel-dried my hair, it combed out easily with no tangles. It dried super shiny, full of body, with no frizz. By the third time I shampooed with it I knew I wanted to horde it for life. I forced myself to wait a couple of months, though, to be sure it wouldn't irritate my scalp before I ordered the six bars here. It didn't, my scalp feels better than it ever has with any kind of shampoo. Just like my skin, it gets squeaky clean but not dried out at all, no coating. I'm still using that first bar, it has lasted for a couple of months and there is more than half of it left. I keep it on a soap holder that lets it drain, it stays hard and doesn't get slimy or mushy. It doesn't even leave soap scum in the shower. I can't believe I'm down to one product now, just this cute little bar and no plastic bottles cluttering up the shower. Besides how great this soap is, the shape of it, the paper it's wrapped in, and the scent are so charming. You can tell it is all done by hand, there is nothing mass-produced about it. We are so lucky there are still people dedicated to a traditional craft that has been used for thousands of years. I am very happy to support them and find this miracle soap to be well worth the price.

Palestinian Al Jamal Organic Olive Oil soap is a stunningly clean product. No scents, no fillers, no colors - a pure product. Checked the company and it has been made by artisans, by hand, since 1880, with the purest ingredients. The result is a soap that performs extremely well, leaving the skin clean and smooth. There is no residue or dryness. It feels healthier than other soaps, even expensive ones. The bars are pure white and without heavy scent, one bar of soap is lasting approximately 6 weeks of shower use. Buying the six-pack meant they came in a box, and cost a little over $4 per bar. Great value for a pure and clean soap. I was also able to gift some of these and they were much appreciated. Their region is economically depressed right now so this is also a feel-good purchase to make.

I got this soap as a curiosity after watching a short video showing how it is made. Each batch is stirred by hand and each bar is poured and cut by hand, then cured for months. After 2+ months of use, I'm on my second bar, I felt compelled to come share my enthusiasm with this soap. This soap is such a discovery. It is unscented after you come out, but during your bath you will get a nice scent of olive oil. Leaves your skin with great feel and it's not aggressive. It has a light lather but you can tell it's doing its job. The skin on my face is really sensitive, and it loves this soap. I say I've been lied to all my life because I feel I've been seduced by all kinds of gimmicks, only to find this soap with a simple formula from hundreds of years ago happens to be more enjoyable and with better results. By weight, each bar costs about twice what I paid for my "modern" soap, but lasts three times as long. I hope If you're reading this, my words get you to give this soap a try. Get one bar, try it, I'm sure you will be convinced this virgin olive oil soap is way superior than what you may be using.

As someone who showers multiple times a day. (Work, gym, being sweaty, etc.) This stuff is great!! Leaves my skin feeling clean, but not dry. I have extremely sensitive skin, so having a body soap that’s gentle enough to use multiple times a day is great for my needs. I love that this is all natural, and has no artificial smell.

I love this soap. Replaced all my plastic hand pumps with a bar of this! (I place the bar soaps on a knit hemp coaster) Much cleaner, minimal ingredients, and I’m not exposing myself/my family/guests to microplastics. I also have replaced my liquid shampoo with this. It lathers nicely in the hair, I just rub it on my scalp in a couple places. (A little goes a long way) **Be warned that your hair MAY feel stripped and over-cleansed when you rinse this out. Don’t be nervous! After I towel-dried my hair, it brushed out like a dream and air-dried so soft and supple. I just used this soap. No conditioner! (My hair is very long, past my waist [5’10”] 1A Asian hair. Notoriously hard to brush at this length! ) I absolutely love everything about this. I love that I can finally ditch the chemical-laden shampoos and body washes. I was using an EWG-verified shampoo before this, but I wanted to rid my house from as much plastic as possible. This is perfect, and I love it. Give it a try! I usually hate bar soaps, but I realized I never tried a good one! Picky Girl Approved!

this soap is amazing. after years of struggling with hygeine due to mental health i was looking for good soap that lathers easily, and i saw a video of the factory these were made in and it sold me. the soap arrived and i tried it, immediately bought 6 more. it has a very mild smell, very moisturizing, and it's a decent sized block of soap as well for a very good price. it lathers a lot, very easily (the first lather takes a bit more water and scrubbing but that kind of "breaks it in" for any future use!) and makes me feel so much cleaner than any bar soap or bodywash i've used before, as well as not getting soft and mushy so it works well in my soap scrubber!

Good product. First one I opened & used, was defective, so I didn't like it so much. Once I opened the second bar of soap, it lathered much better & the texture & smell were different. Love that it's natural & also the fact that it's a Palestinian product. Will definitely purchase again

This soap is significantly better than any other soap I've used in term of moisturizing. Smell is subtle, so if you require a strong smelling soap, you may need something else to use first before finishing up with this one. The feel after showering is great. It moisturizes after just one use. So ashiness, or dryness after using it.

Sapone eccellente, zero sostanze chimiche! Lo usiamo come sapone per il corpo e il viso, idrata senza lasciare una pellicola, quindi nessun poro ostruito. Sembra che durerà a lungo.

Deja la textura de la piel muy suave y con una sensación agradable, realmente limpia. Mi piel es sensible y tuve cero irritación. El olor es fuerte sólo cuando recién abres la envoltura, pero con el primer uso casi desaparece y es un aroma muy ligero. Es bastante duradero. Lo volvería a comprar. UPDATE: 1 barra me duró 9 semanas
