Once Upon a Potty for Him DVD

I potty trained my daughter with the girl version 24 years ago. I'm hoping this will work for my grandson when it comes time for him to train.

This DVD is great!!! I highly recommend. I purchased both DVDs, "Once Upon A Potty For Him" and "Once Upon A Potty For Her". I had been trying to potty train my son's triplets off and on for 6 months, a boy and two girls. Trying to potty train triplets has been quite an exhausting and frustrating experience for me. I tried everything from having them read books while they were sitting, to running the water from the faucet to get results. My grandson wanted nothing to do with using the potty chair before getting these DVD's. I couldn't get him to sit for more than 30 seconds. One of my granddaughters was doing OK off and on, but not ready for big girl undies. I can't believe the results obtained after watching these DVDs the first day. They enjoyed them so much, we must have watched them half a dozen times that day. One of my granddaughters went almost all day with only 1 accident. My grandson was actually wanting training pants by the second day. We watched the DVDs at the beginning of each day. I can honestly say by the end of the week we achieved success with two out of three. Boy, is that gonna save my son some $$$ not having to buy so many diapers! They still get diapers during nap time and when they go to bed at night, but I see that coming to end soon since they are beginning to wake up dry. My second granddaughter marches to her own beat and does things on her own time table. After about 2 weeks she finally started coming around. I wish I had known about these DVDs 6 months ago.Comment

Neither me or my toddler enjoyed it

I bought this cuz I'm having trouble figuring out how to get my 2 yr old son to potty. I bought a cars potty that makes sounds & tried everything. No results. Read this book one day then again on day 2 and sat him on his potty and went over book again then played the video. Video is only about 10 mins long, we played 2 times. At the end of 2nd viewing, my son peed in his potty!! I told him I'm telling Joshua what a big boy he is & maybe Joshua will visit (I've ordered the doll & matching potty with cd), he can't wait to see if Joshua comes!! So yes I'm blowing my $$, but will save tons on diapers!!! Day 2 and he's using potty. So now we will try reading My Big Boy Undies. I'm so proud!!! I'm gonna get for girls for my nieces!!

Our family used this movie to help potty train other family members in the past, but we only had it on VHS. Got it now on DVD for my 2-yr-old son, and he loves it! It helped give him the idea of what is supposed to happen, and he can relate to Joshua. He loves playing with the little doll and mini potty — they keep him company when he sits on his own potty.

This item is great for boys. It shows what a boy is like. So my son can see the picture that looks like him. He loves to read it every day. It helped for potty training my 2 1/2 year old. The words they use are ok, but I just made up my own sentences when i didnt like the flow of what they said. It was like, As Joshua's mother i change his diaper. So i used my own words that sounded better, but overall the pictures were good. Only didnt like the potty the boy used was a pot, like for plants.

My children loved this video 20 plus years ago. Plan to give it to my daughter who is expecting her first baby.

This potty training video is for very young trainees. I bought this for my 26 month old son and he was way beyond this. I was excited about this DVD because it was just for boys, but disappointed because it was all babies like 12-18months old. It was also a let down because it looked like the babies/toddlers were all still wearing diapers. I have "potty power" and the DVD was a real winner with all my kids so far. I also bought Huggies pull-ups potty training dvd. It was another winner with my kids. I can't rate this video very high because it wasn't what my kids needed. However if you are training a young one, this might be just what you need. If your child is over 18 months I would pass on this one.

My child enjoyed the video but it didnt really help much with his potty training.
