Before starting the review, let's address the question that you might be thinking of- "Is this worth paying extra for over the other similar capacity drives?" . To that, my answer is a DEFINITE YES. The reasons are as answered below.BUILD QUALITY: The main focus of this external HDD is obviously it's build quality. This think is literally built like a tank. It is covered by a thick silicone outer cover, and is protected in every way possible. It has IP68 water and dust resistance, built in shock protection, etc. Trust me, you do not want to lose 2 TB of your memories just because of one drop, or that leaky bottle you have inside your bag. This hard drive provides a peace of mind that it won't easily break. Also, the housing itself has grooves to store the data cable, which is nice.PERFORMANCE: The performance of this drive is great and consistent. There are external HDDs from other well reputed brands that max out at 40 to 50 Mbps. This HDD maxes at approximately 120Mbps and can consistently maintain 100+Mbps in real world file transfers. This is very good for a USB 3.0 hard drive.Overall, in my opinion, this is a really good product that justifies it's slightly higher price tag, by being rugged and by performing great.

I just heart this hdd.. A very tough and hard built..I bet this would last the most compared to other hdd's.. Its portable and has everything u got.. The only thing u need to do is when u buy and connect for the first time just format it with NTFS file type support as it comes in FAT format so u wont be able to move some specific bigger files such as iso file types..Mark my words on this,, its just brilliant .. Its tough and durable.. Ibought the 2TB variant & i get 1.91 TB space.. Also not to forget the speed it gives.. I get around 120-160 mbps constant speed connecting it to the usb3.1 port and the highest it went around 190mb/s but variable.. If you have 3.1 usb port,, you will get booming speed..

Working directly on my Redmi Note 5 MEI7 phone without any power cord for the hard disk. But without any external app the drive can only be detected when the phone is turned ON with the ext hdd connected. I just use 'Microsoft exFAT/NTFS for USB by Paragon Software' only to mount my ext disk and to open & manage files by clicking the folder icon on the bottom-right corner of the app interface.Very light disk. Not huge or bulky. Nice protective jacket.

It's USB 3.0 HDD and not 3.1. I used it with multiple computers with 3.1 ports and it gave almost same speed as USB 3.0 i.e. between 120 to 140mbps.However, for the price, it is extremely good. The mentioned speed for a USB 3.0 HDD is good.Build quality is top class. I had broken my previous HDD because it fell on the floor multiple times. Thanks to the strong build I don't think this one will experience that.Highly recommended!

First as usual the Amazon delivery experience was good, but one I got the drive I was keen on testing it out since there were all good reviews . But eventually it turned out to be a Toshiba 5400 rpm 2 tb drive against the advertised 7200 rpm drive. So the transfer speeds were very poor despite paying a premium. I have requested for a replacement and hopefully I will get the correct product, I will come back to this review after I get the right product and provide my feedback.

Super fast, super light and super duper durable. I’m using this as an extension drive for my PS4 pro and the performance of loading those heavy titles installed on this disk is mind blowing. It won’t be as fast as a SSD obviously but it’s way faster and you won’t feel the difference if you don’t go into comparison mode with other portable SSDs on the market. Bottom line, it does well what it’s supposed to do.

The hard drive was protected in a good way and inside it contains a toshiba hdd . The transfering speed was good . I have provided the diskinfo and the benchmarks . I will update you if any problems happen !!

I'm using it as a time machine backup drive for my iMac and it's working great. Browsing Time Machine backups on my previous drive was laggy but it works smoothly in this one. Read and write speeds are around 127 MBps and 125 MBps respectively.

ACTUALIZACION: DESPUES DE 7 MESES SIGUE FUNCIONANDO PERFECTAMENTENo conocia este disco externo pero llevo unos dias probandolo y es genial!Pedi el de 2TB y todo ok, buen acabado de goma-silicon que viene pegada y no se puede retirar, excelente sensacion en la mano, con certificacion contra agua y polvo, vi algunos videos en internet donde lo sumergen en agua y resiste bien, es silencioso, mi PC lo reconoce de inmediato no tengo problemas de compatibilidad porque tengo usb 3.0, no se pueden pasar archivos de mas de 4GB pero eso es por como esta formateado, compatible con xbox, super pequeño pues cabe en mi mano, el cable de datos es pequeño pero se ve de muy buena resistencia, lo encontre de oferta y por el precio estoy FELIZ!!! SE LOS RECOMIENDO

Acerca del envío, llegó en buenas condiciones pero tardó casi una semana de más debido a un error del servicio de paquetería (Redpack).Respecto al disco duro, me gustó su diseño, es a prueba de polvo y cumple con mis expectativas.Lo uso con una PS4 y funciona bien, eso sí, se debe desconectar cuando se va a poner la consola en modo de reposo. Por ende no se pueden pausar los juegos que estén instalados en el disco externo, pero es un mal menor considerando el beneficio de ampliar el almacenamiento.

es un disco duro bastante útil, tiene una aplicación llamada HDDtoGO y te da la oportunidad de vincular la memoria con el correo electrónico, el buscador que uses y usar una contraseña para las carpetas que tú decidas. La carcasa y la cubierta resultan bastante resistentes a caídas normales, aunque no la lanzaría a propósito y sí es resistente al agua en tanto esté cerrada la entrada al puerto usb. En tanto a la memoria con la que cuenta es de 931 GB. El instructivo tiene una advertencia de no mover bruscamente el disco pues puede dañarse aunque tiene un sistema de seguridad que no es infalible pero cuando tiene este tipo de movimientos se bloquea y asegura tu información.

Es compatible con MacOS Mojave para usarlo solamente en utilidad de discos seleccioné borrar, lo renombré y seleccioné el formato exFAT que permite usarlo también con Windows NO usé el Time Machine para borrar y respaldar ya que lo quiero para usarlo también como memoria externa y sin problema he pasado archivos de la Mac al disco externo.el alto es de 13.5 cm (aprox. 5.5 pulgadas) el ancho es de 10 cm (aprox. 4 pulgadas) y tiene apenas 2.5 cm (1 pulgada) de grosor es mas pequeño en relación a sus antecesores, ligero. también trae un led azul que indica la trasferencia de archivos . Recomiendo también adquieran una funda, las de marca Amazon salen muy buenas y protegen. Recomendable

Es una buena opción para hacer respaldos de tus archivos bastante práctico; no pesa y prácticamente no ocupa nada de espacio, es casi del tamaño de un móvil. Además tiene un lindo diseño de camuflaje café.
