Don't waste your money or time

It works (sometimes)
You just have to have a wifi router in you house. Plug it into the wall outlet. Set it up to connect to wifi. Download the android app. The android app finds it after a few minutes. Then you can switch it with the app. I even unplugged it from the wall for a while, then plugged it back in, and it worked without having to re-setting it up.well, not exactly after a few months. They tend to be a little unreliable. Sometimes they work, and sometimes they don't. There are times when the Edimax EdiPlug app just won't detect them for anything, even when laptops can connect to your router just fine. You have to keep in mind that they are connected to your home's wifi router, then the Edimax EdiPlug app connects to them through your router from the internet.There is a Update tool that you can run on a PC (Windows only) to, I think, upgrade the firmware. I can't use it, since I don't have a Windows PC, and only use Mac and Linux.
