A price comparison: Gas-X 120 gelcaps for $11 is 9 cents each. This generic simethicone is 240 gelcaps for $17, which is 7 cents each. Not a huge difference in price per gelcap, but these are a stronger dose of simethicone. It seems silly to write a review about an anti-gas medicine, but some late night when one of us is suffering from that bean burrito we ate for dinner, we'll be happy to reach into our medicine cabinet and have quick relief waiting.

Let me start this review by stating I often suffer from painful, trapped gas. The pains are often are so intense it feels like a knife to the chest/stomach/back. A staple in my medicine cabinet for years has been Gas-X. I recently needed to purchase some more Gas-X and I noticed this competing product that contains Simethicone (the active ingredient found in Gas-X). Much to my surprise these actually work better than Gas-X! I have had great results in the past with generic medicine but I never expected to get better results than a leading brand. Looking at the label it makes sense considering this brand has 180mg of simethicone in each pill while Gas-X Extra Strength has 125mg per pill. These usually work best when taken before meals that are known to cause gas. I usually take two before eating salads, beans, and other gas creating foods. If you suffer from gas frequently this is an amazing deal for a phenomenal product. Happy Farting!
