It's very shrimpy!
I was looking for dried shrimp, and it's what I got. Great flavor, seems as fresh as dried shrimp should be. I would HIGHLY recommend transferring any opened packet into a more well sealed container, though. Now my pantry smells of fish, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Smells awful
very pungent. I tossed it because after I opened it and used it I kept smelling it in my kitchen and pantry even after storing in ziploc bag. Smelled like azz but a African recipe I was trying to make called for it. I won't be trying to make that anymore .... I need my nose more

This stuff works so well in most recipies. Anything from adding some to an omelette or using it in some home made papaya salad, it adds a great shrimpy flavor.
