Bought this book to teach my children how to play piano. Fantastic selection of songs and very easy 5-finger piano for the right hand. Every note is labeled, most of the songs are in the key of C (no sharps or flats) and the tempos are fun and easy. The book also lists matching major chords and shows the fingering for the left hand above the staff, so once you learn the right hand, you can play the base clef with chords. At first, I played this for the kids (not necessary but fun), and soon they learned the chords themselves. Proud day! And allows this book to go from early beginner to early intermediate. The songs aren't the full Disney songs, but are usually 1-2 pages long and let you play the bulk of the music with corresponding words (also included which is wonderful!). Our kids have enjoyed learning on this book, and even though I'm more advanced, the songs are fun and easy to play when I add in the left hand on my own. Overall - a really fun book to have for the piano. Will probably always be a regular staple in our piano books.

I forgot that I have given my niece this book years ago as a Christmas gift, so when I was at their house one weekend and tried to play from it, I quickly ordered one for myself. After realizing that adult beginners should practice playing by using chords, a light bulb came on as I figured this book out. Some people are saying there’s no bass clef notes. True, but it’s all in chords to make playing supposedly easier. I wish it would still show the notes, so that we can learn to read music as well. I also noticed that they mislabeled the C chords. C chords is the first thing you learn as a beginner (CEG), but on some pages it is showing as EGC. Is that still a C chord? As a beginner I don’t know, but everywhere on Google it is showing as CEG. I would recommend going through the book to relabel the chords if they are incorrect, so that you do not continue learning with the wrong names of the chords. The song selection is nice, but I wish Mary Poppins’ Feed the Birds was in it (one of Walt Disney’s favorite’s songs). You also do not get the full songs, but just enough to learn as a crowd pleaser. I would not show this book to a kid learning piano yet as it may mess them up, but at the same time, it could also help encourage them to play if they hear a tune they are familiar with. Just watch out or make sure the chords are named correctly.

Super easy us right! Chords for left land are there in easy tablature. Simple Melody notes are presented on the staff with the name of the note “in” the note. Very clever.

We really liked the notes being identified and the chords are depicted at the beginning of the piece. The book was used by a true beginner, playing what she could play and by more advanced beginners using the provided notes and chords.

This little book is great. I started today and I can already play the basic right hand version of some of the simpler songs. It doesn't include much info on how to read music, but you don't really have to know because it labels each note for you (also Google is helpful). So if you label your keys it's very easy to get started! I'm looking for other books in the same format because it's made it so simple and fun :)

My kids are just starting to learn to play the piano, and these are great for beginners, especially those just learning to read notes while playing. They love it that they can play familiar songs, songs that they always hear on their favorite movies, so that's a huge plus. I myself had been in hiatus for more than 20 years, and I liked that I can still play using the simple songs in here (started when I was 15, stopped when I was 17, so am not really a pro, but still misses playing once in a while). Only problem is that the book appears so worn out now, as this has been the favorite in the house since we got it 5 months ago. They liked it so much they brought the book to neighbors to share to kids their age who are also just starting to learn piano (from Youtube). Great purchase for me, but I am going to photocopy their favorite pieces so the book stays intact.

Got this for my 8 year old granddaughter for xmas and she loves it. Is learning the songs in her piano lessons and finds them easy to and fun to learn
