A great holster! Not for novices.
I bought it as a retention, u/c holster. It's just that... a retention holster that can be used for concealed carry. I bought it for my Hi-Point .45 (another recent purchase by the way. Just testing that out too.) and like other comments on here it's a very tight fit. I almost didn't buy this holster because of the comments I read but one in particular stated he bought it and worked with the holster via holstering and drawing his weapon several times from the holster (approximately 30 minutes of holstering/drawing) and eventually the holster was "broke in". I've been a cop since '75, retired in '14 and still carry open and concealed. I have yet to purchase a holster for any of my previous weapons without having some break in period involving the fit of the gun to the holster. I adjusted the retention screw out to accommodate my weapon's frame, I inserted the weapon and fought like all Hades to get it out after holstering it the first time. I did file a bit of the inside of the holster and didn't wear the holster during the holster/draw break-in (about 30 minutes). I just held it and kept holstering and drawing it until I noticed a marked improvement in the effort. Once I felt comfortable with it holstering and drawing while I held it I put it on my belt and practiced holstering and drawing it while wearing it. That's where the retention factor really kicked in. I noticed if you don't practice holstering and drawing with this holster you will struggle to get your weapon drawn. It's designed to retain the weapon in the holster in the event that you're running, struggling, jumping, etc. Like all law enforcement tools... learn the tools that are available to you and keep practicing with them. Make them a part of you, your life if you're serious about it. Personally, I love this holster. It does exactly what I expected it would do.

Ruger P94 Fits. this is not a paddle holster.
I'm wasn't sure that this would fit my P94 because most companies group the P94 with other guns similar to it. It does however fit very well. I actually thought I was getting a paddle holster because the image for this product shows a paddle. I wasn't paying attention when I ordered and chose the cheapest one based on the image. I may still purchase the paddle holster because this one feels nice. It uses the flex in the plastic at the trigger guard to hold the gun in place. That may not be the best way but it seems like it will hold the gun as long as you are standing or sitting. I wouldn't do any cartwheels and expect the gun to stay unless I had the adjustment very tight. The angle of the gun in the holster makes it nice when you sit down as the butt of the gun is almost level with my back so the seat don't push it forward. I haven't wore it for a extended period of time but for couple of hours it was nice and I almost forgot it was there. It wears high and you could not see the gun or holster when I wore a light weight jacket. It has two places to run a belt ( if I'm doing it right ) and it looks like it would take a large or small belt. I think I might order the paddle holster later after I use this one for a while. I don't usually wear a belt so I liked the idea of not needing one with the paddle.

CAUTION - CAUTION - CAUTION - PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE REVIEW
Hope that got your attention. This is an EXCELLENT holster for my Hi-Point .45. Because of a few negative reviews I read before ordering, I'd like to set the record straight. Several of the reviews almost changed my mind about ordering this holster. They claimed it didn't fit a Hi-Point .45, that it was impossible to draw the gun even with the retention screw backed all the way out. Well, they were WRONG. First it fits the gun perfectly; the retention screw is almost immaterial. Their problem was that they did not learn how to use the holster properly. To draw you MUST have the holster at the correct angle (a scant few degrees forward of the holster' s natural cant. Then you must slightly press the bottom of the holster into your leg and the top very slightly away from you as you draw straight up with a slight snappiness. The holster is DESIGNED to be difficult to draw at other angles (and/or if drawn slowly) as a safety precaution against your gun being snatched from your holster by a bad guy. When used correctly the draw is smooth and easy. YOU MUST PRACTICE the correct draw a few hundred times to develop your "muscle memory" for the correct technique. If you don't want to do that, don't buy this holster; it could get you in trouble in an emergency situation if you have not mastered the correct draw technique. The way Fobus has engineered this product is brilliant. The holster provides good retention and, with practice, a smooth draw; and rides well on your hip. I ended up with the retention screw about halfway out and further facilitated an easy draw by spraying a little silicon inside the holster. REMEMBER, the key is to practice, practice, practice until the correct draw procedure is second nature to you. If you are not willing to do that, don't buy this holster; it will get you in trouble.Sorry, I got a little bit wordy, and I usually don't bother to post reviews. But, I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS HOLSTER for that brick of a gun, the Hi-Point .45 cal JHP. And for around $25 bucks, how can you go wrong?

Snug fit, hard to pull out, get the feel for it.
Just arrived today, slipped it on a 1.5 inch leather belt, tight fit. Inserted Hi-Point .45 into holster, went in easy, could not hardly pull it out. Loosened screw, still tight, so Loosened all the way out, still tight. Goes in easy, difficult pulling out. I wore it the rest of the day trying to figure out why it was so hard. Realized it's how you grasp it and pull. Holster is off set towards the front, when withdrawing the weapon it needs a firm grip, slight twisting pressure ad pull straight up. No room for error. After practicing (and wearing my arm out) I finally got it. I screwed the tenson screw in just enough to apply slight pressure, works good. It is tight fit for a large gun but I can get use to it. Hope I can pull it out in time to shoot if the time comes. I would not have bought this holster if I believed the reviews. Weapon is big, fits holster (also Hi-Point 9mm & .40), slides in really good and tight, lube don't help. Takes practice but is worth the price.

Indestructible holster but poor fit for Hi-Points.
For my Glocks a Fobus holster is a dream come true. For my Hi-Point, entirely different story... Other reviewers already said it all, but I didn't heed the warning because of excellent previous experience with this incredible tough and well made holster.Hi-Point will fit in and stay "permanently" stuck in as well, lol. Good luck trying to pull it out with all your might, but once it's out there is no way it's going back into that holster. That is with the screw entirely taken out to make it as loose as possible. However, with some tweaking it is possible to make it work as long as you don't "lock" the pistol all the way down and keep it slightly pushed in only. Two stars given only because previous experiences with this awesome Israel Army issued holster, made to be indestructible, but not made to fit Hi-Points....
