Review: Love this manga series; so different from others out there! - This is the sixth volume in the The Girl from the Other Side. I really love this series, it's just so different from other manga out there. I love the artwork and the quiet setting to the story. In this volume Shiva and Teacher journey to find a new home. Unfortunately, it doesn’t take long for the other cursed to find them again. This series reminds me a bit of the Ancient Magus Bride series but is different in tone and art style. Overall this was another amazing addition to The Girl from the Other Side series. I continue to enjoy this series because of its quiet fairy tale like setting and its unique artwork. I would recommend to those who enjoy fairy tales or The Ancient Magus Bride series. Review: Perfection - I just adore this series

Charmingly naive with complex layers of humanity
Unlike many modern mangas, this story has a huge heart. The art style is naive and charming. The story is charming and ernest - conveying a simple fairy tale but lovingly layered with complex explorations of love, belonging, fear and otherness, with aspects of, as yet, undefined spiritual morality. The ambiguity of this manga is delicately handled, building a beautiful relationship between the protagonists largely thorough illustration, and not words. It’s been a while since I’ve been so won over by a Japanese Graphic Story.

This volume was absolutely stunning.
The story of Shiva and her teacher continues with a journey that helps them define their own understanding of home, family, and what's precious in their lives. A lovely and heartwarming sequel to the last volume.
