The Limited Art Edition Mattern watch is the result of collaboration between Fortis and artist Michael Mattern, whose work is characterised by bright colours and the use of geometrical shapes. Solely 2012 such pieces have been produced. The watch is equipped with Swiss-made 200, 11 1/2 automatic calibre that performs 28 800 vibrations per hour and has 25 bearing jewels. Other movement characteristics include Incabloc shock absorber and fine timing device. The dial design is skeletonised, revealing the manner in which the timepiece functions. The watch is equipped with a calendar ring that shows the date through a window at 3 o'clock. Additional useful features include a crown with the Fortis logo, screw-down solid case back, individual numbering and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass.
