Very sturdy and looks like a normal piece of furniture
This commode is well made and sturdy. The frame is wood and it is strong and heavy. The seat is wide and surprisingly comfortable (I expected it to be quite hard). The commode looks like an ordinary chair (I turned the cushion round so the handle is at the back and it still lifts off easily). The upholstery is wipe clean and the potty is capacious. very pleased with this. It is quite heavy and the instructions state do not lift by the arms. Being heavy is good because it means the commode does not move when you sit on it.

Very valuable asset when someone lacks mobility
My wife had an emergency hip replacement after a fall and had limited mobility for some weeks. This commode was a Godsend. It is well made, stable and easy to empty and clean.

cushioned bucket seat good idea.
cushioned bucket seat hole needs to be the same size as round bucket. Not enough space for male to use. Could this be rectified?
