Good Premium Charger From a Trusted Brand
I like the fact it can test batteries and has a seperate readouts for the four charging lanes. It has a fan built under the charging lanes to cool the batterires whilst they are charging or discharging, and it is thermostatically controlled so it only runs when it needs to. Charging seems quite quick with 21/2400mAh AA size batteries. Time will tend how durable and reliable it is. This one has been bought as a 'Base station' charger to stay at home and I have a more basic Varta mini charger which will now become a travel charger as it is more compact.

I have used this charger for a while now . It charges fast and has a bonus of discharging and giving the amp hour rating , very handy if you have a lot off AA's and use them in fairly high discharge gear such as R.C. models as the cells can be matched . The supplied cells are very good quality having a good discharge characteristic with very little voltage drop . I have found most Ni-Mh cells on the market to be very optimistic in there Ah rating and have a large voltage drop when discharged at high rates requiring an extra cell to maintain the required voltage . To sum up good and versatile charger and good quality cells , the only downside is the wall wart is not 13Amp .

Outstanding - I bought this to charge my hybrid batteries and it does a brilliant job. Very fast. Only issue is that it comes with a Euro connected, not a big deal but be aware.

No UK Plug
Comes with a non-UK transformer plug which makes it fairly useless outside of mainland Europe.

No UK plug, only charges certain NiMH batteries
A good charger but has a couple of flaws. Firstly, it is supplied with a two pin Euro plug transformer, so you will need to buy an adapter to use it in the UK. Secondly, it will only charge certain NiMH batteries: the low discharge types seem to be OK but standard, cheaper rechargables are rejected by the machine. For example, 7-Day-Shop "Good to go" batteries are a good value battery that will work with this charger.
