Thorne Research - Children's Basic Nutrients - Easy-Dosing Multi-Vitamin-Mineral Supplement for Children - 4 and Older - 180 Capsules

I make my daughter homemade formula and I picked these as her multi becuase of the methylated B vitamins. All the doses are super low and safe which I really liked. These have a good variety of vitamins and minerals. Most childrens multi are every limited and will have Folic Acid (not folate).I use these as an "insurance policy" just to make sure she is getting everything she needs. The label has dosage for 1 year - 3 year and 4 year and up, but I felt the doses were low enough to start at 6 months. The capsules are tiny and easy to swallow but I just opened one up and poured the powder in her bottle and shook it well. They do have a taste to them but diluted in milk I don't think it's noticeable. I would absolutely recommend them! It's the best quality you'll find for children's vitamins. These are also great for adults that need a smaller pill.

I started my young son on Thorne Research Children's Basic Nutrients Multi-Vitamins when he was in preschool. As with most children in Preschool, he (and all of us) were plagued with illness all winter. I switched to these in December that year, and once he got over the active cold he had, he was healthy the rest of the school year! As he has gotten older (in 2nd grade now) we have increased the number of capsules he takes (they are quite small) up to 5 (6 is the max recommended). I feel that they really are giving his growing body the nutrients it needs, and are helping to stave off a lot of the bugs running around his school!Thorne Research is a company I trust, who is diligent about the products they make, and has never let me down with their products.

I had picked these up for my 12 year old who always fought about taking his gummy vitamins. I had tried so many types of gummy vitamins, but never anything he wouldn't resist taking.He's taken capsules before for medicine, so I thought I'd give these a try.They work - they're smaller than the other capsules he's had, so they go down easily for a kid. The problem is he complains about the smell and taste - and unlike most capsules, these do have an odor to them and a slightly odd flavor.But it's still easier for him than the gummy vitamins that we would argue about in the mornings, so anything that can ease my mornings a little bit is a good thing in my book.

I usually roll my eyes at all those '5 star reviews' on Amazon. I mean who can blame me most of them aren't even verified purchases. I always thought to my self "You were paid to write this or probably an employee from the company was told to write a 5 star review to boost product sales"Well I can assure you this 5 star review is not only honest but also well deserved because This product is amazing!!! I don't know how else I could say it without sounding like one of those phony reviews. It's simply amazing.Works great if you're trying to rebuild and restore your gut from Candida overgrowth or leaky gut. It has no sugar, yeast, gluten, soy, or all those other stuff that will affect your rebuilding process. Oh and keep in mind I'm an adult and this product is stated for children but it works wonders for me. I'm quite petite and The other multivitamin or multimineral supplements were to strong for me. Thorne's children multivitamin supplements have everything my body needed in the right amounts. I feel amazing after I started these.You're supposed to take 6 per day probably 2 at breakfast, 2 at lunch & 2 at dinner. I don't do the whole 6 per day started of with 1 and build my way up to 4 per day.Hope this review helps anyone who was considering to purchase this product.

Bought these for myself instead if prenatals. I am very thin so based on my weight these should work for me.Caps are small although I have a hard time with any size I tried to open them and mix in water but the vit B makes it taste pretty bad, tried to mix it with orange juice and I could still taste the vit B. I can swallow them with food so that's what I will do.Great ingredients.Update: even if I swallow them intact I burp vit B for the following hours which is not pleasant that's why I switched from 5 to 3 stars.

I bought these specifically because it said I could open them up and mix them into something. My 2-year old won't take chewable or gummy vitamins. So, I tried mixing these into yogurt and apple sauce. Even if I only mix one capsule into an entire serving of yogurt or apple sauce, it still tastes terrible.

One of my sons has ADHD and his symptoms seem to get worse with the wrong supplements. We know he has several CYP mutations that affect drug metabolism and aren't sure about a MTHFR mutation, but that seems possible given some of his symptoms. We have tried several vitamins over the years, including SmartyPants and these seem to help him the most. He takes three a day with breakfast to avoid the vitamin Bs interfering with his sleep. We prefer these over gummies, because gummy vitamins do not include minerals and mineral deficiencies play a vital role in the nervous system and in regulating sleep. These are small, easy to swallow, and easy to absorb.

While certainly anecdotal, our children have experienced less coughs and colds since taking this product. The capsules are extremely small and easy to swallow for our 11 and 9 year old boys.
