The honest review please read
This light and Bubba is something I would still recommend no matter what but when installing it and setting it up. You are going to need to set this in the tank first before you lay down either sand or gravel. This does come with a hose no USB connection A wireless remote control to control the light. Also comes with hose for it length unknown but will still need to buy extra hose in order for make this to work. The reason for that is it takes a hose line on both ends in order to make the buffalo work properly. For anyone using the aquatop air pump you need to use the aquatop AP160 air pump which is a stronger pump and has four outlets on it you need more parts to make it work. You will need additional hose the right connections and you want to join everything down from a 4 to 2 hose and proceed to downsize it to one hose if possible if not, you will need to take it to run two hoses and put it into a distributor to control the airflow coming out of the valve depending on how many bubblers you have. Also you need to turn the pump up itself to the fullest. Overall if you have the right equipment to be able to run this I highly recommend us and a customer notice please make sure and it is not mention check valves are required for you are set up this light and bubbler will siphon water into the pump if you do not have a check valve on your set up to protect your pump

Noisy, suction cups don't work & bubbles only partially work after one week.
Pro's: The remote works great and there is a great variety of lighting colors to choose from. Easy installation. Con's: -The suction cups don't hold very well at all. I have to put my hand in the tank once a day to press the suctions cups down so that they'll reattach. Otherwise the entire piece will float to the top of the tank and blow water into the lid of the aquarium. -I did as some had suggested in previous reviews and plugged the strip in before placing it in the aquarium to help ensure there would be no clogging. The bubbles were great at first but after only a week there were only around 5 strands working. I've tried wiping off the strip too. It's not the end of the world but it sure was cooler looking when all of them were functioning. -I was surprised by how loud this item is. I've gotten used to the sound but I don't know that it's good for my fish. Overall I'm not happy with the product. It wasn't cheap and certainly not worth the money that I spent on it. I plan to get rid of it and find another item of better quality.

Good overall but...
This is a good product IF you can get it to work properly. It took well over an hour to get this set up. Not the products fault; you should add this before you set up your tank. Once set up you will need a strong air pump. I had to adjust the length of my tubing several times even with a strong pump. I would also suction free end to tank wall not floor. Bubble holes had to be cleaned and poked several times, water pressure build up helped 'blow' holes out. Remote has to be pointed at switch which is geneally behind or under tank. Cannot point at light in water. Does look good after its all working.

DOES NOT USE BUBBLE STONE IT HAS 8 tiny holes drilled in it making it very generic
It puts oxygen in your tank and has bright colorful lights that I can’t deny, however the bubbles made from and actual “bubble stone” are far better then a bubble bar with 7 holes for air to come out. Causing bigger and louder for its size. The bubbles suck on this one and would rather have a bubble stone than a piece of plastic with tiny holes drilled in it. There is NO character to the bubbles.

This is either a light or a bubbler but not both
Thought this would be a good buy but was a bit disappointed. First it needs to be mounted at the bottom of the tank if you are going to use the bubble feature. If you do this fish will hide between the light bar and the back of the tank glass. It also makes it very hard to vacuum your gravel. 2nd, a single air pump is not enough to produce tiny bubbles in the water, you need a very powerful pump with a dual hose valve to connect each side of the light bar to produce enough pressure across the entire bar for tiny bubbles. 3rd when you are able to produce enough bubble with this product, the popping of those bubbles produce a lot of surface moisture in and out of your tank that will need to be cleaned up. 4th the intensity and color of the lights can be a bit harsh even with dimming the light. The glare from the LED's make it very hard to look at and enjoy your tank. 5th the IR remote needs direct line of sight to function. As far a functionality this is either a light or a bubbler but not both and not in a 40 gal tank, maybe something deeper? The light would be more functional as a top mount shining down but then it would not work as a bubbler. The size we got goes the length of the tank and that should have been fine the pressure needed make this work properly was too intense for our fish and a smaller size might have worked better but would not have produced the bubble wall desired. the quality and durability of this product seems fine but we are only using it as a light occasionally and have separate air stones. For the cost and functionality I don't find this to be a good value and the pressure required to make this work was not clearly identified in the product description.

Let it run for 12 hours for full affect!!!
I wasn’t so sure about this product after reading reviews so I trusted the process and when I got it set up, at first I was disappointed, but after allowing it to run for 12 hours it’s beautiful!!! I have it connected to my 4W air pump on both ends of the light/bubbler itself using t-tubes that came with the pump I purchased separately and it works perfect for the tubes, my fish love it! My angel fish swim through the bubbles and my schooling fish play in the bubbles! Highly recommend and the remote works great, I suction cupped it to the outer part of my tank stand and it works flawlessly! I purchased the 30+ inch for my 40 gallon tank!
