Will my display keep its touch capabilities with this board?

This board not driver for touch capabilities .

Will a 12V 5A power supply cause any damage to the board?

It should not damage, the board draws what it needs, 2A is the suggested minimum.

Monitor turns on for 3-5 seconds but is just a lit up black screen, doesnt respond to menu buttons or inputs. Tried 2 different screens?

If the current is small ,the monitor will be restart again and again .Pls try with larger current . If still has problem ,Pls contact us via Amazon message and provide some cable connecting picture to us .
