Don't let looks fool you
The laptop is bright and the quality is nice. It can do what most high priced laptops can do just with a lower price tag. It connects with ease to WIFI, after all, thats all we need, right? Functionality is so well and love how it operates.

Very good keyboard for a laptop. Excellent linux compatibility. A bit heavy. So-so display
I needed a laptop compatible with linux (ubuntu), and it was straightforward to install linux on this one. I didn't encounter any hardware during OS installation that wasn't supported. I was a bit disappointed by the display, which has middling contrast, brightness, and color saturation; I read later that Lenovo had improved this in later models. For streaming, I connect it to a Samsung 32" tv (via hdmi), and the image quality is excellent. The keyboard is very good; not as great as the full-travel keyboard on my desktop (a coolermaster), but the designers had to make compromises for a laptop. It's heavier than most new laptops, but I feel like it's also sturdier and less susceptible to damage.

Junk
Biggest piece of junk I’ve ever owned. Coupled with the Microsoft OS, a perfect storm of crap. Hangs on almost every operation, from trying to view the file system to simply opening a file. Bought it for work and run only one program on it. Even that’s too much for this shoddy hunk of plastic. Some days it will display the battery power or WiFi connections; other days it decides not to. Constantly crashes, quick to lose battery power even after I replaced the battery, flimsy, clunky and with idiotic popups for no reason at all —- AVOID. Chinese garbage.

Good performance for a price
Bought T480 in Feb 2019. Delivery was super fast and reliable as usual. Computer started without a glitch and still running good. There was some glitch with a warranty that was fixed fast in a professional manner by a seller. So far I am very satisfied with computer performance. Just one note - with a heavy and long download/copy computer's temperature is raising pretty high without an overheating though. Some time ago I have had to sell my HP computer because of a problem with overheating. This computer is far from that, but yet it is something to watch.

98% perfect computer for me
A few weeks ago my Acer Chromebook for Work would not power on (I suspect a motherboard issue). In a bind, I researched for about three hours and decided to order a Lenovo T-480. I've been using my T-480 for the past two weeks and like the ruggedness, keyboard, fingerprint scan, and dual batteries. I wasn't sure how I'd like Windows 10 but it wasn't a big deal. The only addition I'd like would be a backlit keyboard.

Fast and Good Quality
I checked computer sites for reviews of the best business laptops. The Lenovo ThinkPad was normally at the top or near the top of the ratings. The solid state drive is very fast and I also added additional memory since I use this computer for business.I use an external monitor and one comment I have is that when the unit goes to sleep I need to raise the closed lid to access the fingerprint reader. It would be nice if there was another option to resume without raising and lowering the lid. I have Windows 10 configured to do nothing when I close the lid.

The laptop runs well
The laptop is excellent. In the past 40 days, there was no error, and the boot time was very short, just about 10minutes.

EXTREMELY DISSATIFIED CUSTOMER
I bought this a back-up computer for my work machine. I have used this computer for a total of 3 hours since I purchased in November. I have loaded virtually zero software on this device. McAffee and Quicken and Microsoft office. That's it!! Now it has to be shipped back to Lenovo!! They folks tell me the motherboard or the controller has gone bad.Do NOT Buy this machine!!!This is the second consecutive Lenovo product that I have had problems with. Up until recently I thought they were good machines. They are now awful.I would also think that this supplier would be in question.I repeat....DO NOT BUY this machine. DO NOT ORDER from this supplier. Amazon should drop this company.I hope someone contacts me but I do not hold out any hope. EXTEMELY DISSATIFIED CUSTOMER.
