It heats up quickly and produces a good amount of steam, making it easy to get wrinkles out of shirts, pants, and other clothes without having to set up an ironing board. I loved it hence I got a second one! I moved and gave my first one to my brother. It is lightweight with a long cord, making it easy for you to maneuver. Water heats up quickly and produces a good amount of steam to effectively de-wrinkle most of your clothes. The only negative this time is that water sometimes leaks, especially when I need to tilt the steamer to reach certain areas. However, overall, this is a good and easy to use steamer for a quick wrinkle removal!

This is a small yet effective garment steamer. I had been using a much larger steamer that came with an integrated clothes stand. The steamer base had castors to roll it around and it had foot pedals to turn the device on and off. The clothes stand allowed for holding the garment while they were steamed using the wand on the end of a long hose. Quite an impressive unit with quirks, until it decided to stop working altogether. With such a large unit, it has lots of moving parts with plenty of things that can go wrong. I found myself thinking that a much smaller unit would be cheaper, easier to manage, and to store, yet still get the job done. One example is how the long hose on the bulky steamer, that attached the steamer wand to the base unit, would quickly pinch itself closed if the wand was moved too far or held at the wrong angle. This would cause the unit to stop working until the hose was unpinched and had time to come back to the right temperature. And the entire unit was bulky, cumbersome to move around and took a lot of room to store. Then along comes this little unit that does essentially the same thing, without the cumbersome size and wand hose that can get pinched. Just put in some water, turn it on, and get to steaming. Sure it doesn't come with an integrated clothes stand, but a simple hook with a clothes hanger does the job. Then when not in use, it stores away easily not taking up much space. This steamer is not only just as effective in a much more compact size, it is also priced much more competitively too. It does everything I need so I don't see myself needing to replace the much larger and bulkier steamer that is finicky to operate at best of times. This one is much more compact, has fewer moving parts to have to mess around with, and still gets the job done. It is therefore something I would recommend to others.

I use different curtains for winter/summer, so I needed to straighten them somehow after being folded up and put away. After hanging the curtains, I use the steamer; so far this has been working great. - The cord is decently long; it is about 8.5 ft. However, I still need an extension cord to reach the top of the curtains. For steaming clothes, this wouldn’t be an issue. - The reservoir holds about a cup of water. I am able to get my curtains straightened on one tank. - It doesn’t take long to heat up. Cons: - Sometimes water droplets are sputtered out instead of steam. It’s not really an issue as the droplets dry quick, but using it is not perfectly smooth. All of the steamers I’ve used have this drawback though, so I guess it’s normal (or I just haven’t used a good product yet).

I do not have access to distilled or demineralized water so I am just using regular tap water. I know this means I need to do frequent proper maintenance to avoid mineral buildup. I already do this with my branded higher‑capacity steamer using a simple water and vinegar routine, so I will be doing the same here. I do not expect any issues as long as I keep up with that. The package includes a measuring cup and two fabric brush attachments. The brushes are handy for thicker materials and for lifting fibers while steaming. The 240 ml tank is a decent capacity for my needs. The long 8.5 ft cord is also very convenient because I am not stuck right beside the outlet. I'm not one for doing ironing, I hate it and I'm bad at it. My usual go-to for light wrinkles was to hang my shirts or slacks on hangers in the bathroom and crank the shower on high letting it steam the room. Not the best solution but it kinda worked. Sadly that doesn't work for deep wrinkles or creases. When I saw the HiLife portable steamer I knew I had to get it just for my water bill alone. It comes complete with a few different attachments; 2 brush heads that pop on to the front and a small plastic cup for filling. I'm not sure the usage scenarios requiring a different brush type, so I just stuck one on and called it a day. lol. It's pretty simple to use, you twist and pull off the top, add water, (using the cup is the best plan as the transparent window shows more than the max water level so it can be easy to overfill!) and plug it in. After a few minutes (I didn't time it... probably 2 or 3 minutes) the water boils and steam comes out. I find the best way to steam clothes is to hang them and run the steamer over them vertically giving a few passes over more serious wrinkles. I've used it on my dress shirts, t-shirts, and dress slacks. I don't care about my jeans. I found it worked best on the 100% cotton t-shirts and dress shirts. It also worked great on my casual linen summer shirts, which wrinkle just by looking at them. All in all it's a good little steamer that does a decent job. It's not going to fix deep wrinkles or creases but I don't think it was intended to. You can travel with it but international travel will require an adaptor (as always).
