Russell Hobbs Supreme Steam Iron, Purple/White, 2400W, 300ml Tank, 110g Steam Shot, Vertical Steam, Stainless Steel Soleplate, Self Clean, 23060

The Short Version: A robust 2400W domestic iron that heats up rapidly and deals with heavy linen creases effortlessly. Ideal for medium-sized households looking for a dependable, budget-friendly steam iron without unnecessary complexity. Key Specifications & Context: Model/Variant Tested: 2400W Model, Blue/White Finish Test Duration: 3 weeks of weekly laundry sessions Primary Use Case: General household ironing including cotton dress shirts, denim trousers, and bed linens What Works Well (Pros): Build Quality/Materials: Features a polished stainless steel soleplate that glides smoothly over cotton blends without catching on buttons or synthetic trim. Performance/Functionality: Reaches operational temperature from cold in under 35 seconds, maintaining continuous 40g/min steam generation with zero voltage drop or flickering on standard domestic circuits. Usability/Design: The 300ml water reservoir allows for roughly 25 to 30 minutes of continuous ironing before needing a refill, and the wide filling spout minimises splashes. Room for Improvement (Cons): Power Cord Length: The fitted power cable measures exactly 2.0 metres, which can feel somewhat restrictive if your ironing board is placed far from a wall socket. Water Level Visibility: The tinted blue plastic window on the water tank can make it slightly difficult to gauge the exact water level in low ambient light. Real-World Testing & Fit/Function: Tested across multiple ironing sessions containing a mix of heavy denim, delicate silk blouses, and thick cotton bedding. The 110g steam shot button delivers a concentrated burst of vapour that flattens stubborn creases in heavy cotton on the first pass. Heat output remains stable throughout extended use, and the anti-drip mechanism successfully prevents water spotting on fabrics when ironing at lower temperature settings. Descaling is straightforward using the built-in self-clean function with standard tap water. The Bottom Line: Offering impressive performance and rapid heat-up times for a very reasonable price point, this iron delivers excellent practical value for money. It is an ideal purchase for everyday family laundry, provided you have a plug socket reasonably close to your setup.

4 stars only as it’s nearly impossible to see the water level when adding water! Major design fault in my opinion. Otherwise, better than your average iron (or better than my 6 year old £5 supermarket one).

This is the third time that I have bought this iron. Each has lasted for about ten yeaes and I do a lot of ironing. The iron is comfortable to hold, not too heavy, slides easily over the clothes, and does not stick provided that you follow the temperature instructions on the clothing.

Happy with its performance, works well and heats well. Steaming option works good too so I can iron many different type of clothes with it. Appearance is good, not really big and easy to use. May be the cord length may have been a bit longer, but I don't have any issues personally. Non-stick to anything I have used so far. Does not take much space and easy to store.

Do not be put off by the price. this is a quality item !

For the money I pay for this iron it was very good. It is nice and easy to use. It is very light and good for people with arthritis he had a long flexible cord and heated up to top temperature quickly it made a nice job and nonstick ironing of most items. I struggled to quickly and easily remove creases from heavy cotton items with this iron but I recognise that this is not a fault with iron. I just was expecting far too much for a low priced item. I recognise that I needed to pay a lot more money for a steam generator die in to get the quick and easy results I needed on happy cotton. I have iPhone please with my purchase use this on a daily basis for items that are so heavily creased, I found the light weight of this iron it’s a great benefit to me regarding arthritis pain as of the fact that is totally nonstick and hasn’t put any of my clothes

I have been using this iron for one year and 2 months and overall, it performs very well. The heating time is quick, the soleplate glides smoothly, and it removes creases with very little effort. For the actual ironing performance, I would say it’s definitely one of the better irons I have used in this price range. However, one issue really stands out — the cable is extremely short. This means you must place your ironing board very close to the socket, which isn’t always convenient. With other irons I’ve owned (including models like the one-temperature Russell Hobbs), the cable length was much longer, allowing much more flexibility in how and where I iron. Pros: -Heats up quickly and delivers consistent temperature -Glides smoothly and removes creases easily -Lightweight and comfortable to hold -Steam output is strong enough for everyday fabrics -Good price for the performance Cons: -Power cable is too short -Water tank could be slightly larger -Not ideal if your plug sockets are far from your ironing area Overall :A solid, effective iron that performs its main job well — clothes come out smooth and wrinkle-free. But the short cable is the one thing that holds it back, especially compared to other irons with longer, more convenient cords.

Good little iron, lightweight & easy to use dry or with steam. Reaches temperature fast

I have to pay postage fee for refund and the seller also charged me restocking fee for refund. This is the worst customer service I have experienced. I do not recommend this product.

The iron itself is very good, however ordering from Amazon Australia you'd expect an Australian plug not a UK plug! Fortunately I have an adapter, but very disappointed and a little annoyed!

I use this every week! Works great!

Great item so smooth to use and clothes are so sharp after ironing Great price

Although sold by Amazon UK, the plug is not Australian. Not I need to spend another couple of dollars for a conversion adapter 🤣🤣🤣 hence the 1 star review. I’d rate zero stars if I could.
