Mnemosyne A4 Notebook Plain.
I have used one of these before and the paper is beautifully smooth. You can use these sheets as writing paper because there is only a faint margin along what becomes the right hand side of an A4 sheet. Absolutely great paper that's fountain pen friendly.

Bit expensive for what it is, especially if you take lots of notes, but great quality and looks great.

Very good quality paper when compared to other good quality papers price. I think Clairefontaine is slightly better (for the pens and ink I use), though the quality depends on what material you're using it for so it will vary. Personally both are good and i'd pickup whichever is cheaper at the time, if you've got the funds it would be good to experiment with different types of papers to see what works best with what pen or ink you'll be using

Super smooth paper
I love the smoothness of this paper, it's smoother than any other sketch pad I have. It works great for sketching with pencils and ink. I will buy it again.
