Looks as the supermodel of pressure cookers Flamboyant presence to flaunt if u want to use this as serving apparatus . Design , cooking speed , quality, durability , all 5 stars .no leakage, but cleaning u have to be cautious as it can develop strains n straches . Overall a supermodel of pressure cooker . Go for this if u can pay extra , usage cannot be everyday purpose . BUT THE cooking speed is better than pigeon as I'm using those too. Hope u like the detailed review.

We purchased a yellow-colored Hawkins Contura pressure cooker which looks really pretty. But if you talk about its utility, you can't use your own containers because of its handi-type shape which is narrow from the top. You need to buy extra containers, a set of two, for Rs. 700, which are very small in size. You can cook NOT more than 1 cup of rice and 1 cup of dal. If you are using it for direct cooking, like making pulao, jeera rice etc, then you can cook a good amount of rice. Hawkins claims that, the cooker is having a ceramic coating from the inside. I was under an assumption that it must be very smooth from the inside, but it wasn't. In fact, after one use it was having black stains. If you are looking for an attractive cooker only to cook rice or any kind of direct cooking, then this is a good buy.

Love my little pressure cooker once I figured out how to put the lid in

As I live alone and I don't want to eat the same thing for more than three nights in a row, this size cooker is just right for myself and if I have 1 or 2 guests, it is just big enough to cook for them.

I love how this one lets off steam. It's a steady quiet release. the last one I had bobbled around and made more of a racket. The design is clever and thoughtful. It accepts a collapsible steamer basket (sold separately).

Wow, this pressure cooker is seriously amazing! I've been using it all week and it's made dinner prep so much easier. Everything cooks up perfectly, and it saves me a ton of time. I highly recommend getting one if you're on the fence!
