Make more!
Just what I was looking for, it looks to be an awesome survival bivy bag. I will update after using it this year.OK now I'd like one twice as wide, or twice as big.Alternately how bout make it with zippers and openings similar to the jerven fjellduken, and it'd be super awesome.Regardless of my ideas of how to expand the product line, as-is it is a high quality product. It is always in my get home bag and provides great value and utility for its weight.

A "must have" for backpacking!
I have an "emergency blanket/bivy", but wanted something that wasn't cheap or flimsy. This popped up as I was looking, and after watching a number of video reviews, I decided to make the investment.Recently went backpacking to test my new 0 degree down quilt, and for an added layer of protection, decided to bring the Trifecta.I slid a reflectix pad, my Klymit sleeping pad, and a Thermarest closed cell pad, as well as the quilt, inside the trifecta and zipped it up.It got down to 14 degrees and I was toasty warm all night in my cocoon. I was very impressed with this and hope to get many years of use out of it!My only complaint is that the stuff sack it comes in has already begun to come apart at the top near the drawstring. I will likely invest in a dry compression sack for this awesome piece of gear. Looking forward to using it as a tarp and the peace of mind that it can be a lifesaver as an emergency blanket/shelter too!

Happy Blanket / Tarp
Awesome product, have been putting miles on it for the past 6 months and it had become a go-to item. I was hoping to get another for Christmas to replace the one the wife took ownership of. Price point is great and customer service is excellent. A solid product I would recommend to my friends...

Great addition to the pack
I just went on an epic multi-day hike outside of Jackson WY, and this item proved critical to a comfortable night sleep. I wanted to completely trust my lightweight down sleeping bag, but it proved to be a 50 degree F bag, not a 40. The first night I ended up pulling this over my bag like a blanket, which worked, but each night after I opened it up and inserted my pad and bag. With the temperature dropping as we gained elevation I was more than comfortable with my lightweight bag. Worth noting I was using a tent, but my tent's design is open air mesh with a rainfly, so it provided no additional warmth, but a necessary barrier to elements and bugs. I honestly can not speak to the bivy's water resist, but I doubt I'd ever use this item without a groundsheet and tarp (at least). Weight, size and function all are ideal - and one of the pieces of gear in my pack that I really appreciated, hence the positive review.

I've purchased 6 of them for self and family
I am a sucker for utility. You want utility, this is it. The tyvek/mylar type combo is an award winner. Adds warmth over and under. Breaths effectively, but don't zip your head inside. Great on the trail, or in the trunk of the car for emergencies and picnics. It is not duck canvas, so I am careful with it, while not babying it. Love the product. Recommend.

Item stuck together
Item stuck together and when I took it apart there were areas that looked like they were ready to split. Not good for a bivvy when it's meant to keep me warm and dry.

Tips to avoid condensation
Condensation occurs when the relative humidity outside the bag is higher than that on the inside. If dew is settling on the ground it means that the outside humidity is 100% and you will inevitably get interior condensation. Water vapor will not move from a low partial pressure to a higher partial pressure (low relative humidity to high relative humidity). The trick is to create a microclimate on the outside of the bag. I use a Pendleton Camp blanket that I cover the bivy with and stake to the ground. Since the bag is only reflective and has no R-value, the temperature on both surfaces of fabric become the same, and therefore the interior becomes higher in relative humidity, and water vapor can move through the membrane. I do not know how lightweight of a fabric will create the required microclimate, but a cheap fleece blanket also works.

Well made and Lightweight
I love this bivvy/tarp. Its well made very durable and lightweight only 13 oz. I have a wide sleeping pad and there is plenty of room also it's way better than that pos I mean sol bivvy
