Nice storage case - great batteries. Good value.
These little batteries were just what we needed! The hardshell case that they came in is really great for storage. EBL batteries are really reliable and they seem to last quite a while. I would recommend these.

Long lasting, quality batteries.
These are reliable great batteries. I'm able to get around eight plus hours out of them with my xbox controller. The case they come in is convenient for storage and keeping up with them. This is the second set of double A batteries I've bought from EBL and I plan on buying more.

Good but suddenly stopped working
The batteries work good. I've noticed they are slightly bigger than normal batteries so they don't fit every device. I have a few devices with them and they work just the same and are easy to swap out to charge. My only other complaint is 1 of my batteries just dropped dead; no charge, nothing. And now I have a device that needs 3 batteries, but I only have 2 because 1 just stopped working. I'd buy extra if you want to avoid having some missing batteries because of that. UPDATE: I've changed my review to 5 stars from the original 3 for the excellent customer service and replacement batteries. They reached out to me soon after my first review and offered a replacement as well as an explanation for why they are ever so slightly bigger than normal batteries but should work just the same. Excellent customer service and would buy again when needed

So far so good! Let's see if they survive 30 years....
Well right out of the box, these batteries were 1) charged and 2) demonstrate good capacity. But the real test of rechargeable batteries is life time performance. So here's my opinion of these oldster batteries Sony - Ni MH - These batteries are 30 years old! They are slowly losing capacity and becoming quite troublesome due to frequent recharges but hey! think how many disposables they've kept out of the landfill. I can tell they are nearing the end of their lifecycle because one or two have started to overheat even while recharging on the gentlest setting. The internal materials are starting to break down. None of these batteries have ever leaked. Respect. Rayovac - Ni MH - Youngsters! Only 25 years old! Similar condition to the Sony but the Sony's outperform these guys....Not quite as pricey as the Sonys and easier to find and purchase. These batteries have never leaked. Quite reasonable. Tenergy - Picked up about 30 of these batteries on sale at Amazon about 20 years ago. They performed reasonably but almost all of them failed when the batteries started to leak after 10 years. Reasonable capacity. Good if you need a lot of batteries. Terrible for long term low drain use like remote controls. It was pure luck these batteries didn't destroy more of my electronics....All of these batteries were gone after about 15 years... The youngster batteries (none of these batteries below have started to leak yet), they are all low-discharge batteries: Eneloop - does not disappoint. The oldest are about 15 years old. Performance is still strong. Looking like they're the brand to beat. At the present time, the eneloops are demonstrably superior when it comes to long term low discharge use ( remote controls) while all the others need more frequent recharges. GP Recyto - very usable but eneloop clearly the leader when it comes to low discharge. About 10-15 years old.. Bonai - in the mediocre middle. Good if you catch a sale and burn thru batteries quickly. About ten years old amazon basic - remarkable sale price at least is was 5-10 years ago. Quality seems kinda up and down EBL - aw come on... these batteries have been in use for a few weeks. they work fine right now. We'll check back on them in 30 years... How the heck you ask, does anybody keep batteries going for 30 years? Use a decent smart recharger. The NiMH benefit from periodic reconditioning (charge/discharge & repeat). This "refreshes" their performance. You only need to do this once every year or three.... The low discharge batteries also benefit from reconditioning but you can do this less often. Also, it's best if you have the patience to recharge at the slowest rate possible. Fast charging stresses out the battery more. The Panasonic recharger for the Eneloops is a very gentle charger. I dunno about modern smart rechargers (mine is about 25 years old), but if a battery is heavily drained it won't register on my smart recharger and the recharger will not start charging. Therefore, don't throw away your dumb rechargers, you need to at least partially charge your utterly drained battery in order to use the smart recharger to finish the charging. Of course, all this is HISTORY what with the new battery chemistry that's just come out....

Eco-friendly and more wise than batteries
As a mom of 2 small kids I can say it’s a must! If you’re not willing to buy tons of batteries, buy this rechargeable batteries. It’s more economical-friendly and will save you a fortune

Long lasting, Fast charging and Versatile. VR approved.
At 3 years i have had no issues with these batteries. They are primarily used for my VR controllers which can go for a little less than an entire month without charging. It's been three years now since I bought them and are about to buy another set due to two of them missing and the other two taking the brunt of all of the use. They still seem to pull through with at least 2 weeks of life before charging. Considering it only takes about 2 hours to charge them anyway for the use you get out of them compared to one time use batteries.. these are literally some of the best rechargeable batteries you could possibly get for any use. and it really, REALLY shows in VR compared to any other device it could be used in.

I put these batteries on a garbage duty. I have one of those sensor activated ...
Currently, Amazon is selling charger and/or batteries in the same product listing. Makes the reviews confusing, to say the least. I bought a set of 8 EBL 2800mAh batteries. Upon receiving, I gave them a full discharge (at 350mA) followed by a full charge (at 700mA). The pictures show the resulting voltage and capacity at the end of the charge cycle, while still in the charger. As a baseline (to prove that my charger is still working correctly), I've also tested my trusty Eneloop batteries (identical conditions), which are rated at 2000mAh. I've seen reviews claiming that these are not Low Self Discharge batteries, despite the manufacturers claims that they are LSD. Less than 1 day after charging and without any use, the voltage had dropped to about 1.37V. But that's not totally unexpected, as NiMH batteries tend to do that. Their claim to fame is that they can hold 1.2V during heavy operation much longer than Alkalines. I will have a chance to test how well it holds the charge and their LSD-ness soon and will update this review accordingly. Update (Jan/09/2016): - Confirmed these are not true LSD. They discharge much quicker than the Eneloop, which are true LSD. Not sure if the manufacturer changed the description recently, but it says "Improved low self discharge makes it still maintain 75% of capacity after 3 year of non-use". Technically, they could be right. I don't have an older version to say that these are not improved. And I don't plan to leave them unused for 3 years just to test the claims, but I offer some numbers below. - I bought these batteries for their capacity. I used them in my DSLR camera, which is a power hog. I'm OK with having to charge them before each use (because I have multiple sets of batteries, if you don't you may be caught off guard by them being empty when you need them). The Eneloops didn't last an entire soccer game, most of the time. These will last the entire game, most of the time. That's an improvement, I suppose. I still have the problem that half way through, the camera displays a low battery sign, but they still work. I suppose that's a problem with my camera, even though I have this same problem with 2 different cameras. - After soccer season was over, I put these batteries on a garbage duty. I have one of those sensor activated garbage cans that opens by a hand wave. It a low power, long term application, the exact opposite of the DSLR duty. Alkalines would last 4-6 months. These last 3, at most. It's clear that they fail due to self discharge, not power use. - I recently put them in a full discharge/recharge cycle, similar to what I did when I first received them. At the end of the cycle, the average voltage (while still in the charger) was 1.46V (pretty much the same as new), but the capacity had dropped to an average of 2700 mAh.
