Very nice looking roller bag. It looks exactly like the picture on the Amazon webpage. Quality is excellent, comparable to bags costing 3 and more times the price. Leather quality is good and soft. The grain of leather matches well where matters. Inside seams are sewn with reinforced matching color tapes. The expresso leather color looks classy. Examining the leather carefully, I couldn't find any scratch nor scars. The workmanship is consistently clean and even. The matching color number 5 nylon zippers open and close smoothly. The interior of the bag is fully lined with a lighter color, possibly nylon lining, embossed with self color Solo logo pattern, done in a classy way. The backside of the bag is made with matching color heavy duty (possibly) polyester material. I think this actually makes the bag stronger and less heavy than leather. The first 3 compartments are completely functional. The frontal side pocket is good for small items, plane tickets, boarding pass, etc. I must say these pockets can be designed better and be made with better details and workmanship (It is made more like a suitcase than a computer bag).The smaller compartment has simple pockets for pen and pocket notebooks. It is also big enough for some A4 size folders or an agenda book/note book. The 3rd compartment, the largest of them all, is lightly padded for a laptop and for many more folders. The last compartment contains the handle mechanism with two small pouches on both sides of the handle. I need to figure out how to make use of this compartment without tearing the lining and expose the mechanism. Perhaps it is not meant to be used. This is not a light bag. However; it is not a heavy bag considering the leather and the roller mechanism. I have been looking for a professional looking roller bag for a long while. Some were too expensive, some were too heavy and some didn't look right. I think I have found the roller bag that matches my needs at a reasonable price. The only thing that I am a bit concerned about is the wheels. They look ok, but I hope they will last with all my business travels. Product Update: I would have liked the bag to be a bit bigger and had more pockets to organize things. It fits well on airplane overhead compartments. It's a pleasure to walk around with it. No more weight on my shoulder that always lead to back pain. It really looks professional.

I have been using this case daily for over a month and I love it. First, it looks so pretty--much nicer than the ones you normally see. The size is exactly what I wanted- not too big and not too small. Room for my laptop, several good size files, supplies in the front, and in the back where the slide up handle is tucked away, there is tons of room for cables and mouse and other devices. It rolls smoothly and seems to be very well made. I got caught in the rain and the case got wet but when it dried, there are no stains on it. I have had no problems with it falling over but I don't over stuff it. I believe it would easily fit in an airplane overhead. If you only had a laptop without a bunch of files, you might get a light change of clothes, a book, a few personal grooming items, and a few travel snacks in it so it could be a perfect travel bag. I am very pleased with this purchase and I am not being paid for my review.

I had wanted a good quality rolling case for some time to save my shoulders and back from carrying my work laptop, chargers and iPad. Along with note pads and other documents, for me meant backpacks are not a good option. I had got some stick for being old because I could not carry all my gear, but I figured protecting my back was a smart move. This case looks good, the tan color makes it stand out more than all the nondescript black plastic and leather cases. Strong wheels and a strong and smoothly operating telescopic handle also add to the overall quality feel of the case. There are sleeves for documents, and even power brick pouches nicely placed either side of the handle at the back. No space is unusable. If you have to carry a laptop and a lot of documentation, then this might get tight quickly, it does not expand much from the initial spread. As I mentioned, this bag has done some travelling on many flights and trips over the last year or so, and has been excellent so far, it's took a few whacks, but there is no sign of wear and tear, I lug around a full size laptop, power brick, an iPad, and power brick and various notes without issue. I will say that the bag itself is quite heavy so do not think it will spend much time on your shoulder............ Recommended .......

This bag is great if you need something professional and has wheels that don't dramatically change the overall look and feel of it. Great storage, just the right amount of room even for 2 laptops, and so far the zippers are doing great. I have noticed that one of its wheels are starting to develop a slight wobble, but I'm a tall guy with long legs, so sometimes we're really moving fast.

Had this rolling suitcase for about a week now. It was a little dusty when it arrived, but a quick wipe down and the bag was good to go. The rollers and bag are all in good working order and it's the right size for what I was seeking. The color and description all seem to be as described online. This is my daily commuter bag that I carry my work laptop, keyboard, mouse and a few files/notebook with me. I previously had a rolling backpack, so I like this square size over the rectangle from my backpack. Only complaint is that the expanding handle can be a little hard to pull up, but otherwise I am quite pleased with the look and functionality of this bag.

I bought this brief case after retiring the one that I had by the same company. There are few minor differences in this new one- all leather versus partial leather shoulder strap in the new one, and a slightly compact front pocket to reduce the risk of toppling. I had bought the other one 10 years ago and the purpose of this review is to give you a sense of what you can expect from this one over time. I used this rolling briefcase every day from home to office and it has served me very well. I never took serious care of it, except occasional wet cloth wipe. In sum, it was abused. I had no problems with it for the first 9 years. The hardware is of exceptionally good quality. The retractable handle, zippers, stitching, leather and the foot pegs are all in perfect functional shape to this date. There are only two weak points. First, strap and its attachment loop to the brief case. The loop rivet came out and the strap connecting hardware broke. Second, the leather of the hand carrying handle got warned out. They may have corrected these problems in the current models or they may still exist. By being around for this long time, this item has met the test to time- surviving the competitive brief case marketplace. I am looking for a different brief case this time because I have used this one for so long. I have not found one that is better than this one so far. I don't think that you can go wrong with this. Yes, as others pointed out, tipping can be a problem if you fill up the front pockets. I rarely did, so it was not that big of an issue for me, but it can be. I strongly recommend this product for those who like to carry things in their brief case and have a need for wheels to roll the brief case.

UPDATE on 5/26/15 Bag is becoming disappointing. The wheel is making a LOUD clicking (like rolling over large cracks) noise when it rolls on a completely smooth surface. I have e-mailed Solo about this now so we'll see if I hear back. One other annoyance I found with the bag recently that I didn't think of before. If you do have to check your bag or leave it in an unattended office and want to lock it, the zippers do not have the kind of zippers that enable a luggage type lock of any kind. Knowing this alone would've likely swayed me to not purchase this bag. Original Review: I am writing because I didn't find other reviews really answered all my questions so here goes... 1. Can it fit on all planes? - No, it cannot. On the regional jets with 1 seat on one side and 2 on other it will not fit under the seat on the 1 seater side. It will fit in the overhead bin on MOST of these regional planes, but not all. 2. It rolls great. 3. It is a wee bit bigger than I expected because the reviews were misleading and it is heavier than I expected. That said it is a good roller bag if that is what you are looking for. Glad I purchased it, I just don't like being a roller bag person, but decided to for less stress on my back. One disappointment in product quality -- The strap got caught on the wheel when i was rolling it ONE time and it ripped...so fabric isn't high quality obviously, so the strap is useless to me. I haven't tried reaching out to the mfg to see if they would replace it yet.
