Brute-Cake: A Branches Book (The Binder of Doom #1)

This is a great book. Nothing bad about it. The pictures looked nice, better than I could draw. The only downside is that the pictures are black and white. But I'm not gonna let that bring this book down to 4 stars! Would recommend.

The book not only arrived in perfect condition, but it’s adorable. My son loves these books (he’s 6). He’s not reading them on his own - I read them to him, but they’ve got cute pictures and are great for a child who can listen to a couple of chapters and then remember what happened the next day. My son absolutely loves one of the characters - Rip who appears throughout this series and the Notebook of Doom. Recommend.

Great book for all ages of kids. My child loves this series...he is pre-teen. He read it in less than an hour. (Very fast reader in general) But he still revisits these books over again.

I, like Alexander Bopp, was feeling pretty gloomy when the series ended and there seemed to be no more monsters in Stermont. This is the first new book series that my son (just turned 8) and I have really loved reading together, and I am thrilled that it's continuing. My son isn't a huge fan of actual scary things yet, like Goosebumps, so this is a perfect and fun compromise for him and his Stephen King loving mother. The book has the exact same charm as the others in the series and I've already got the next book in my queue to order.

My son really enjoys this series. He has all the Notebook of Doom books, and when he heard there was a Binder of Doom, he had to have them!

Our 7yr old is immersed in these books and it’s a joy for us that it’s a joy for him!

My 10 year old has read all of the Notebook of Doom books, so he was excited to see this new book out. He gobbled it up in an hour. He loves to come up with his own monsters and this book is fun jumping off point. The only problem - the next book doesn’t come out for a few months!

We read a different Scholastic books series first and needed another good "first chapter" series with lots of pictures to keep their attention. We first read the Notebook of Doom series and then Binder of Doom (like an additional book series to Notebook of Doom). They LOVE the characters and guessing who is the baddie and/or what could happen next. Whenever possible we use the Kindle edition and broadcast it to our TV via our Amazon Firebox (via wireless projection) so that everyone can see the text and the pictures. Again, LOVED by all of our kids and we have different ages and grasp of the world. It has gone so far, that our boys have us print out the monsters, trace them and then colour them in!

My 6 year old loves the Binder of Doom series. They are very fun books with some funny original monsters.

My second grade classes love the Notebook and Binder of Doom series.
