Excellent Cleaner!
For a light weight vacuum, hit has a lot of suction power! I have a heavy Oreck that doesnโt do half the job this mighty machine does. Dust and cat fur no problem, it really cleans down deep in carpeting and furniture . I also love the different suction options for above board cleaning, especially curtains. I just wish it came with one more tool. The other feature I like, is you have a choice between rolling it, or detaching it for tight places. I just canโt say enough about this vacuum. Itโs just convenient, easy to move around, and carry if necessary. Heck of a design! No dust blowback either. The one downside is it doesnโt come with any extra filters, however, the pricing for them isnโt expensive.

LOVE IT! Works perfectly, great value for the price!
I previously had a Shark Navigator that I loved, the one for Pets and Allergies with all the filters, basically it was exactly like this one, but this one, is the newer version, and they fixed the only thing that drove me nuts about the previous one, so now itโs PERFECT! ๐คฉ ๐ฉท The older version had a brush that collected hair and the sensors were very sensitive, so it would shut itself down when a bit of hair would wrap around the brush, or if a bit too much dust was detected in the canister. It was truly a hassle. They fixed that by getting rid of the brush on the roller and letting more pass through. Now as long as we empty the canister after each vacuum use (like we should be doing anyway), everything is great! ๐๐ผ Thank You Shark! This vacuum is just as durable and well made as the older model, and the suction is still just as great, and now that it isnโt shutting itself down every 5 minutes like the old one LOL, itโs truly a breeze to use and vacuum time is quick! I LOVE IT and I feel itโs definitely a great value for the price.

A mixed bag after a couple weeks of use
The suction is very good. Vacuumed just one room and it picked up as much hair, dust and dirt as the old LG model did in 3 rooms. Speaking of LG, all mine needed was a simple roller brush, only to find out they discontinued making it. Maybe a blessing in disguise, as the Shark self-cleaning roller brush is a great feature. Back to the Shark model: The self-cleaning roller really worked - inside the dust bin, the dust and dirt went into one chamber, and all the hair collected separately on the center cone and slid right off when I went to empty. The cord is too short, and it's placed too low on the machine, so it's a pain to move around, change directions, etc. It was constantly getting in the way. The swivel head is helpful and the lower profile gets further under some furniture than our previous LG unit could. Tried the Lift-Away on a few carpeted stairs, but will need the full power of the roller head to properly clean the stairs. The L-A feature is probably better suited for furniture. The hose clip is pretty useless. The hose disengages from the wand after a minute of usage. Not a big deal - as the hose doesn't really go anywhere once it's loose. All the other click-into-place connections seem secure. The unit is definitely lightweight - time will tell if it also proves durable? This was a sold & shipped by Amazon purchase. They lowered the "Limited Time Deal" by $20 right after I bought it. Hopefully Jeff Bezos will read this review and issue a $20 credit...

Great value
I went from a cordless Dyson to this, and Iโm in love! It isnโt the lightest for the stairs but itโs certainly not terrible. The amount of dog hair this gets up is incredible! I like that it detaches and makes it easy for cleaning furniture, stairs, walls, base boards etc Iโm adjusting to having a cord to manipulate again, but it was so worth it. Iโm highly impressed, and overly excited with this purchase

Lightweight and Easy to Use
This is my second Shark vacuum. My first one lasted 20 years! Overall, it does a great job picking up dirt, and I like the ease of maneuverability and its ability to go over small rugs without grabbing the edges. It is lightweight, which is a nice feature for a senior adult. My last Shark was a Rotator, and it had more amenities--the features I will miss include lights in front and on the wand as well as a longer cord. (The cord length isn't too bad, just not as long as what I had.) Probably if I had bought one of the more expensive Shark vacuums, I would have had those things too, but I didn't. Anyhow, this one works fine. The suction is adjustable, which is nice for going over thick carpet. My previous vac had two carpet adjustments instead, but this works just as well. My old vacuum had a separate hard floor attachment which I rarely used, so I am glad Shark did away with that! This is more practical.

Fantastic
I had been using an old dyson for many years. I actually broke it and decided to purchase a new vacuum. I was looking at the 300-400 dollar dysons to replace my old one. My wifes friend had mentioned the Shark brand. After reading reviews on various models and checking availability I chose this one. I saw several reviews of people complaining about the hair removal function not working as advertised and was a bit skeptical. I looked at all the pictures, read all the reviews. Saw people complaining about gears melting, hair clogging and in general were just not happy. I simply didn't care about the hair removal function because most of the time these are just gimmicks and are worth even paying attention to. That being said, I have two women in the house with long hair and an Australian Shepperd dog. We do not have a shortage of hair around the house. Bi-weekly we have to vacuum and sweep, vacuum the furniture and dust. We also live out in the country a bit so we deal with a good bit of dirt from the dog and the 4 year old boy plus daily traffic. As a Hardwood floor professional I have over 80% of the house hardwood and just our bedroom is carpet as of right now. It was one week between vacuuming and me "pulling the trigger" on purchasing a new machine and that includes shipping which was very fast (2 days). With all this said I purchased one of the cheaper models at I think 160 bucks. It arrived today and I was an eager beaver to say the least to start cleaning the house and rid us of all the dog hair. This machine is fantastic. I pulled more dirt out of our bedroom then I even knew was in there and am a bit humiliated on the volume that I found in the canaster. I pulled all the dog hair, the wifes hair and did not receive one single issue with clogs, wraps or tangles on the beater. These people that are experiencing these issues in my opinion either have one nasty house or are deliberately trying to make the machine fail. I am incredibly happy with my purchase, incredibly happy with the price of this unit, incredibly happy with the suction power, incredibly happy with the versatility , incredibly happy over all with this unit. I has the option to be a hand held short unit for the sofas and has the option to be very long to reach the corners of my ceiling or even just standing straight up and vacuuming baseboards. Its a quality built machine. If my opinion on this machine mattes at all it is a bargain and I do not regret saving 250 dollars at all. usually you get what you pay for, with this machine, you pay a very reasonable price and get much, much, much more! UPDATE: Still feel the exact same. After several washings on the filter, purchase extra for a change at least once a year. Iโve managed to get 2 years out of the factory filter set but they need replaced with new now. Machine still does a good job.

Strong Suction - Not good for shaggy area rugs
I received this as a mother's day gift this year because my other one bit the dust the week before the holiday. I decided to try a Shark this time based solely on reviews because I didn't want to spend as much as I would need to for a Dyson and while my previous Hoover was great, it sounded like the Shark's had better suction. This one definitely had better suction than my previous Hoover of a very similar type. I am a mom of a toddler, an infant and a pitbull and they keep my floors nice and crumby, so I use my vacuum every other day (at least). I needed something "heavy duty", strong, but easy to use. This fit the bill. Pros - Strong suction and it's pretty lightweight. I'm a small woman (5 foot tall), so this is very important to me. - After vacuuming just once I am AMAZED (and disgusted) by the amount of stuff (hair, dirt, crumbs, etc) this thing sucks up. We don't wear shoes in our home, so it's mind boggling. - Long cord so you don't have to keep unplugging and plugging it in constantly. I think it goes a bit further than my Hoover did. - It's easy to release the hose to use it. On my previous Hoover I had to detach the hose, attach it to a certain place on the vacuum and switch the mode on it. With this one I just hit a button and it detaches. No hitting a switch and no having to remove the hose and attach it elsewhere. - It's easy to dump out the cup. - The roller has not needed to be cleaned yet. I was routinely cutting hair and string off the old roller of the old vacuum. My dog loves to destroy toys and so our home is usually strewn with stuffing, string and bit of fabric that eventually clog up the vacuum. No roller issues or clogging issues with this one so far. - It looks nice and has a nice color to it. Yeah, okay, so that doesn't "matter", but it kind of does when it's sitting in a visible place in your home. You don't want a ugly eye sore hanging around. Cons - Okay, so this was a MAJOR one for me: The suction is SO STRONG that I can't use it on the area rugs in my boys rooms. They have a thick shag rug in both of their rooms (same rug) and it definitely will hide debris. The suction is so strong that the vacuum just gets stuck in place. This was a major issue for me and I honestly thought "I need to send this back", but I figured I could use one of the attachments (the wide one with nubs on it) and the hose to do their rugs. Fortunately, their rooms are small and the rugs are only 5x7. While I wish I could just use the vacuum normally to do their rooms, it's a trade off for the suction power that it has. It doesn't take too long to use the hose to get their carpets, but I'm always concerned about "missing a spot" because I'm using a little attachment and not the whole vacuum that covers a wide area. - The canister part of the vacuum seems very wide and clunky. It doesn't seem to affect my ability to tilt the vacuum to go under furniture, but it certainly "feels" clunky because it sits so far forward compared to the roller part. Regarding the fact it does not work well on area rugs, I recommend getting a little Shark hand vac. I got a cordless one at the same time as this vacuum and it's really super useful for small messes and for getting the area rugs when I don't feel like getting out the big vacuum.

Strong suction, hard floors and carpet options
I've had this vacuum for 6 months now and so far, its good. I purchased a few cordless vacuums but ended up disappointing me. Vacuums with cords are still unbeatable when it comes to power and suction. This is the best vacuum I ever purchased. Can be used on hard floors and carpets. Hair barely gets trapped in the brushes, which is one of the most common causes of vacuum breaking or going bad. My favorite part is how strong the suction is!!! This vacuum literally sucks ALL the dust/dirt on the carpet. I maintain and clean my floors and carpet on a regular basis, but when I tried this vacuum after receiving it, I GOT A LOT MORE dust even after vacuuming with my old vacuum. I love the dust/dirt compartment. Its enough space and super easy to detach and empty. I just love this vacuum. Only thing i wish they have is an attachment so I can effectively vacuum the stairs too. But overall, I 100% recommend.

It really works!
I have never had a vacuum work as effectively as this. Game changer for people with allergies. Easy to go from carpet to hardwoods. The very finest dust is trapped, with the pre and HEPA filters. Love it!

There is no problem with hair wrap
I have lots of long hair and it destroyed my Dyson Stick motor. the shark doesn't show any hair wrap at all.

Zero M Technology Works, But Its Not Perfect
Here are my first impressions after using the vacuum. Pros: -I was pleased to see that most of the hair vacuumed up didn't end up on the roller due to the zero M technology. I was vacuuming on carpet and there weren't any piles of hair, but the vacuum only left about 1 or 2% of the hair on the roller, the rest made it into the collection bin. -The pivoting connection between the upper handle part and lower base with the roller, this allows for great control and maneuverability. -The base of the vacuum has a lower profile than my previous model and I liked how I could go further under dressers and beds by lowering the handle towards the floor. -The power cord is nice and soft and wasn't uncomfortable when I stepped on it accidentally with my bare feet. -The additional attachments can be used with the lift away mode in such a way that you don't need to include the extra 2 foot piping extension as well (although you can use this extra length if you prefer). My previous vacuum couldn't get in hard to reach places, like behind the toilet, because it's lift away type of mode had 2 feet of unbendable piping attached. Cons: -The power cord is about 10 or 20 feet shorter than my previous vacuum's cord. -I like to hold the cord in one hand while I control the vacuum with my other hand, the cord connects near the bottom of the vacuum (my previous vacuum's cord connected closer to the top of the handle) so I end up having to bend all the way to the ground to pick it up. -The additional attachments that are used in the lift away mode feel slightly cheap. They don't click into the lift away handle, but rather just fit snugly over the end. This vacuum also only has storage for 1 of the 3 attachments at a time. I use 2 of the three attachments regularly, so this is going to be annoying. These things aren't deal breakers, but inconveniences none the less.
