Green Eggs and Hammocks Superweave Dual-Point Hammock Chair, Beige

I really love my X-Chair that came with this Superweave Hammock Chair. After over 5 years of use, one of the cotton cords broke (maybe kids helped that along). I went to order a replacement and it is backordered. Not taking no for an answer, I contacted Green Eggs and Hammocks and they told me there was a production quality issue with their supplier and they are indefinitely out of stock. It appears they are looking for a new provider. I have placed a back order-but don't expect it any time soon. Good news is that they are not going to ship sub-par mdse, however I really didn't want to get the HAM2GO chair as a replacement-I am spoiled the hammock chair is great for reading. I started searching and have found that the Relaxing Hammocks Deluxe Mayan Hammock Chair works with the X-stand. Normally this comes with a Wooden pole but is available without for use on the X stand. I should be back relaxing soon.

I got this to replace a green eggs and hammocks swing that had yellowed with age and I thought I would preemptively replace it before any cotton would snap through use. This one actually came in a very yellowed color which is a bit disappointing as the original was white.This seems like the only place online that sells it but unfortunately it’s the the exact make or size. The hammock is longer and hangs a few inches lower almost touching the ground which makes it harder to get out of. Also the hanging hardware supplied with it is too large and didn’t fit into the X-Chair hanging holes, but luckily I was able to reuse the original steel hanging hooks. The weave from what I can tell is the exact same which is good as it expands the same way. It’s just a bit too long on the ends.This does come with an extra woven cup holder but it is too short and hangs around a bit higher than head level which is not very practical in use.

This chair has helped contribute to my keeping my sanity. I sit outside on beautiful days and evenings, usually with my MP3 player headphones on or when I have something serious on my mind, or when I feel like crying. Something about being suspended in air, gently rocking, and being wrapped in the chair is like having a hug. Love it, but that's just me.

seems very solid. Its a replacement seat for my Xchair, I could no longer find an official replacement.It does seem to sit quite a bit lower than the original.. ie. I'm only 1' off the ground.So its not a perfect replacement, but definitely a usable replacement (I'm not aware of any alternatives).A bit painful on the price since I only paid $99 for the chair+hammock originally.The picture shows chains, but no chains needed. It has ropes all the way up to the hooks just as the original.

I don't know why, but products from Green Eggs and Hammocks proved hard to find this year. This fits the X chair, which needs to hook at both sides at the top. Even has an attached drink holder. Very sturdy, thick weave of ropes. Glad I bought it while still available. I love my hammock chair; I'd move it inside but it wouldn't match anything!

Mom loves her hammock, and sits in it every day weather permitting. It has been a few years and is still in good condition.
