Okay; I want to say this it's a bit dark. All I grew up on was that Ali baba's brother Kasim tells the 40 thieves that ali baba told him about the cave and give thm Ali baba's address and they let him go but in this book thieves cut Kasim in 4 pieces and ali baba goes to a taylor to get his brother's body sewed and the taylor tell the 40 thieves about Ali baba's home. But very good book for sure.

stories for children have to be made milder...no stabbings, no blood on the screen/ book images....otherwise a great read

7 years can read by themselves and its a fabulously pictured story easy to read and good language. happy to expose my son to these fabulous tales and he enjoys them. If you son is not into reading these kinds of books, like the wooden horse and this at the young reader level is interesting for them and they catch on. boys need interesting stories to read and they should be adventure and fun. moral stories really don't work too well with boys.

Good one for kids

Thought this was meant to be a tamed down story of Ali Baba for children, I bought it to read to 4 year olds, but it is far too violent.

My 9 year old loves this book, however, it isn't for the faint of heart. All in all 39 people get murdered in various gruesome ways. It's pretty funny, but rather gory!

Good book write is the right size for children

Love this book also it reminds me my childhood. Bought this for my daughter. She loved reading it.

For the grandchildren as a gift. Sure it will go down a treat. Cannot beat the old stories. Came quickly and well packaged
