OK, let's just acknowledge that this isn't going to stop a truly determined thief. If they want your car bad enough, they'll get by this, but, in general, why bother. It's a target rich environment. Most opportunistic thiefs will probably not bother. Also, frankly, I drive a pretty "nerdy" car that not too many people express a real interest in owning. That might help some too. Let's move on. This is a solid and easy to use extra deterrent against mischief. Mine had no sticky residue, but if yours does, I'd highly recommend you pick up some "Goo Gone," which will probably remove it. In any event, I recommend that every household has a bottle of "Goo Gone" around anyhow because it's so useful to have around. There, two birds with one stone.

What more can one say about the one and only “The Club”. With thieves stealing cars more than ever and especially using key fob clone technology more and more - the Club at least stops them from making off with your car even if they can start it with your cloned key fob. Can they saw it or your steering wheel to get at your car - sure but why burden themselves with complexities. They will go on and steal the easy car without the Club!

This item is easy to install and easy to remove once you get the hang of it. I used it with the key access facing the dashboard. Makes it a bit more challenging for those who have power or lock picking tools to try and defeat it. I like the weight of it, signaling that it will take some time if someone want to saw it. The bright red color makes it easy to see and would-be thieves will more than likely move on.This item gives another level of challenge for the joyrider thief to move on.

I went with the Club 1100 LX Series Steering Wheel Lock, Red, Large based on the bad reviews of the cheaper brands specifically the issues some had with the locking mechanism failing. I appears to be well built with a unique key and is quite heavy. I only have used it once so far when parking at an airport for the week while away. It fit securely on my 5th gen RAV however it left an indentation in the leather wrapped heated wheel covering. This may have been from installing it too tightly but I suspect it was from the weight of one end. It would be nice if they would provide a storage bag for when it's not in use.
