simple effective tool
Simple effective way to coarse chop brass for resizing case .223 case to 300AAC Blackout.

awesome tool!
this tool makes it a breeze to cut down .223 to 300! My only complaint is that it doesn't really like fired brass (bulged from firing) but its a small price to pay. Then again to get precision cuts I would want it to be tight on new brass anyways. Even still it gets the job done and done quickly!

I was pretty excited to receive this jig
I was pretty excited to receive this jig. In my opinion, it's really not that great and way over priced. My once fired .556/.223 brass does not sit down in the groove as shown. Most of the cases sit only 1/2 or less of the way down and thus move around when the blade cuts. The jig does not fit into the harbor freight clamp cleanly. When you tighten the clamp, the jig lifts on end and it constantly moves around. I'm not impressed.

Works for intended purpose, needs refining in design.
The jig works for cutting the brass to sized. But, if your not careful. you could cut the jig in half, there is no stop.

case trimmer
Very nice jig. New to the 300aac family and had some .223 brass laying around and don't want to reload that but will need more for my new toy. $32 cut off saw from harbor freight and this jig...

.300 BLK Jig Works!
This jig arrived promptly, albeit with no instructions. Maybe I'm just a little "simple," but I cannot figure out what the allen-key knurled screw is for on the top of the jig!? The jig holds the 5.56 case in place with the help of a finger,(in my DrillMaster Mini Cut-Off Saw, and allows for precise cutting of the case while turning it in the jig with a finger. I will contact "Squirrel Daddy" to inquire about that screw, & update this review. I'd still recommend it.OK, apparently I AM a little SIMPLE! After looking at a YouTube video of another model that Squirrel Daddy sells; with a "Guard" on it it became obvious that this screw "STOPS" the downward travel of the blade, insuring you don't cut the bottom of the jig itself. Just a little "Lock-Tite" and adjust for depth; and awaaay you go!

Works well
Use it to process about 200 pieces of brass, works well but could use some improvements. Used with a cheap small metal cut off saw. It would be better if the entire unit was longer to allow for better clamping on the cut off saw.

Great Quality
Works as expected and was shipped promptly. The clamp on the saw needs a little work to keep it from wiggling loose, but that is the failing of the Habor Fright saw and not the jig.
