Will this work well with trampolines? We keep replacing the chords we're buying from the manufacturer.

The balls are too small and they will slip loose I would go with the ones with a larger ball say 3/4 - 1"

What size grommet will these fit through?

They fit through the standard size grommet that is used on every tarp I have. I use them to bring the edge of the tarp to the pole on 1" electrical conduit with some give. They work great.

Are these the thickest bungees you can buy?

This bungee is designed to go through a gromet on a tarp, then pull tight to lock the bungee in place. If the bungee were any thicker, it would not go through the gromet opening. The true bungee you are using to tie your item hooks through the loop on the ball bungee after it is locked on to the gromet. The metal hook on the large bungee cord will not necessarily fit through the gromet opening. Hence, the ball bungee.

How would these hold up on a beach in the sand for a volleyball court?

I expect with the right amount of tension using a lot of bungees would work. How long, days ,weeks or months, they are exposed to the sun they will stretch.

A very versatile cord

These are the best bungee cords ever used for tying tarps down ,and very forgiving on your tarps . Comets they don’t rip and bend them as rope or wire would do to them in a wind storm or rain build up on your tarps surface because you have stretch forgiveness now. But best thing they are UV resistant. They are made to take on sunlight as most bungee cords aren’t . The ones I put up last year are still doing their job and the other ones I put on were just a waste of money are lost their elasticity or totally fallen apart now. I use them a lot to wrap up my electrical cords on my power tools tidey everything up in your storage room.
