Dyson965642-04 Motor, Main Suction DC52/DC54/DC78/CY18 Cinetic

Struggled to find a replacement motor for my Dyson DC39. Enlarged/drilled out the 2 bottom holes to 12mm, the ones which accept the rubber feet, and you're good to go!

The media could not be loaded.  stopped running properly mid use, knew something was up because the vacuum literally smelled like it was on fire. took it apart yet again, and what do you know it’s busted. these white plastic pieces are coming out (video) and in the picture you can clearly see the motor is imploded and not aligned properly in the slightest. can’t contact dyson, or get ahold of anyone in regards to the purchase. so now i’m out over $100 from buying the motor and the HEPA filter along with it.

Fixed my Dyson DC39.

Taking a DC39 apart to replace the motor you must at the same time replace the filter. Otherwise you are only doing half a rebuilding job. Worth doing while you have it apart. Watch multiple youtube videos to learn how to do it. Be sure to save the old rubber washer in the center of the old air filter and reuse it. Using the new filter and the new motor saved me $1000 after income taxes by not having to buy a new one.Be warned it will take lots of time, hours of work, to do this if it is your first one. Take your time. Persevere. It is worth it. You are saving yourself loads of money.

In the spec sheet the voltage of the motor was not stated ,so a 110volt turned up instead of a 240 volt required for Australia
