Mind Ware Classic Mosaics Coloring Book

Mind Ware Coloring Books were recommended to me by someone else who was using them for to destress when they could not sleep. My friend actually gave me several pages and a box of colored pencils she had found these so helpful and thought I, as a busy very stressed executive, mother/foster mother of 10 who has no ME time would benefit from these as she has. She was SOOOO right. I fell in love with these. I actually look forward to when I can get alone in my room, curl up on my bed with the now two Mind Ware books I purchased and the upgraded Faber-Castell Polychrome pencils (used to be a serious artist) I purchased and "color." When I wake up at night with the streams of things that have to get done, the issues to be dealt with at work, the kids issues and all the rest, I pull out the book and pencils and it just melts away. Instead of laying in bed for ours getting angrier and angrier that I'm not sleeping and having a very bad next day, now I color for a half our and go peacefully off to sleep to have a great next day. What a gift my friend gave me. Who would have thought a color book and box of pencils would make such a change in the life of a mature, high functioning, over worked adult. Mind Ware Coloring Books are definitely not your just for children.

This book (along with a box of colored pencils) was a Christmas present for my 8 year old grandson. Although he received many other items that he also loved, these mosaics captured his attention most of the time. I will be purchasing more MindWare coloring books.

I say teens because I grew up buying these books, so much fun! Now that i'm an adult, I still have one around, they are so much fun! Great for curing boredom after a long day, for inspiring creativity, for doodling while on hold with customer service calls! A regular coloring book limits the colors and method for coloring if you want to get it "correct" but with these patterns and designs, you could color the same one 20 times, and every time I guarantee it would turn out different, and amazing each time! So much fun for all ages!

I purchased this book many years ago to use in my classroom with teenagers and it has held up very well. One thing that you should know is that there are 2 pages of every design in the book. Many of the pictures have a central design (girl with urn, horse, flower, Viking ship) surrounded by repetitive geometric designs. Students enjoy using a variety of coloring patterns to complete these interesting pictures. I would highly recommend for those who love to color within the lines.
