They are silicone so none of the product is absorbed in to the applicator and gets wasted. I end up using less product. The only thing is, I wish the applicator was a little bit smaller. I have a couple smaller jars and these are too big to fit into the jar to get the cleanser so I have a separate kind of applicator for those.
