Excellent light
Great light, nice and clear white light. Needed to replace an old light in hallway. Great choice, it really brightens my hallway. So good, I bought another for another hallway.

We've had 6 of these, over 10 years, and this one shines above all the others
Over the years, we have added more and more identically styled fixtures to our home, Each new fixture was externally identical to the others, but I was usually surprised to see the technology within it's never changing outer carapace. Two of these fixtures utilized GX23 CFL bulbs, three generated light via long, thin, GX24q CFL bulbs and one shone beautifully using a T9 Circline fluorescent 'bulb'. Our new addition, the subject of this review, apparently has no name, just specs. It is hands down the best of the bunch. It puts out bright, evenly distributed light, uses less power than any of the others, and is easily installed. Trully, it is quite a beauty.I've changed numerous CFL and T9 lamps on its' predecessors and hope to never have to do so again, at least once they are all changed out. And by the way, the plastic cover, the six support/decrotive nuts/brackets and the rings can force a homeowner to have to develop juggling skills. I've finally discovered that taping the plastic and the metal ring together, just the way they will hang when finished, makes the job amazingly easy. I've attached a photo of the taped assembly to my review. This 12th ?incarnation of a very popular ceiling fixture is less expensive, performs better and is just as attractive as any of it's previous versions. What a nice purchase. Tongue in cheek, I'll say that this led fixture really brightens my days.

Replaced Kitchen Florescent w/15" Model
I'd been thinking of replacing my old kitchen light for a long time & was initially looking for a 48" long LED fixture. I liked the look of this one online & the price was reasonable so I just hoped it wasn't too cheap looking or dim person.Installation was a snap & it looks great, to my eye. It screwed into the standard electrical box without having to drill any new holes. I think a few folks mentioned that it didn't match theirs. My house is only 20 years old so maybe theirs were a lot older to have non-standard electrical boxes.I'm happy with the brightness, which was a concern since I like a bright light in the kitchen. I installed a dimmer too & found that I don't use it. Later I went ahead & bought the 10" version for a hallway but haven't installed that one yet.

So bright!
A friend installed this for me, but it did look easy enough. However, be advised that the light is so bright as to render my kitchen cold and industrial looking. I will be putting in a dimmer. Other than that, it's a nice enough looking fixture. High quality it is not, it's plastic but functional.

Improved over older model
I bought the prior version of this model 3 years ago and installed two of them as kitchen overhead lights. They were plenty bright for the room, and turn on/off instantly and with very little heat. Installation was a snap, because they mount very nicely to a standard 4" octagonal box.One of the lights I mounted 3 years ago began to flicker this spring, then died. I was going to replace both lights, but decided to try one more of these. I was pleased to see that this light has a different transformer design, and the screws to hold the plastic dome in place have been redesigned to make it easier to screw back into place. The light has been working well now for a month.

Easy install if you tighten the posts before mounting.
Color temp matches what I would expect from 2700K, and the brightness appears to match the 1800 lumen rating. Overall a nice modern looking light fixture for a good price. I wouldn't call it a high end, but how much time do you spend staring at ceiling lights. If you want to make re-installing the cover and bottom ring a snap, make sure you use a screw driver to tighten the three screws that hold the posts to the back of the fixture BEFORE you mount the fixture to the junction box. You can't access these screws after installation, and if they spin re-installing the cover will be a nightmare unless you have three hands. Mine were loose from the factory, and easily turned by hand. I also added blue Loctite to make sure they don't come loose in the future, but I expect just a good tightening would have done the trick. After that it was easy to install the cover and retaining ring one nut at a time. I like how slim the fixture is and that it mounts flush to the ceiling. I installed this in a pass through hallway between double closets and it is much brighter than the old school 1980s style single bulb round fixture that it replaced. Installation took less than an hour in total, and I am happy with the purchase overall.

Functional - but Cheap Plastic Look
I needed a ceiling light for a closet quickly as the electrician was coming. Bought this and it was delivered very quickly. However, it looks like cheap plastic. If it were anywhere other than a bedroom closet, I would have returned it. It's functional, and provided good light, so if that's all that you care about this is good. But again, not very pretty,
