Good for cosplay
This is a perfect wakizashi for cosplay. It's not the best for toy or combat purposes...It won't hold up for sparring and it's probably too delicate for children. But mine was solidly built and not something that bent or crumpled easily. Being wood, with a sturdy wooden saya, I was able to saw it down to exactly the right length I wanted to have the blade and saya...it's a bit too long for a wakizashi, but different size people will want different size wakizashi. The wood makes it rigid and lightweight. It's paintable, so it can be changed colors, and the wraps can be replaced with different color cords if you are careful and learn how to wrap. The tsuba is a little small for the blade, which is inconvenient for authenticity. However it does make it more comfortable in the obi so that's a plus. The blade is too slender to simply remove the blade, replace the tsuba, and put everything back together again successfully so I wouldn't try that, though a more clever woodworker than I could probably saw it off below the tsuba and add a second tsuba there. It really does look pretty good.

Price to quality not even close.
I purchased this for cosplay, and with the $38 price tag I honestly expected a little more. The sword itself was sturdy enough, but the scabbard feels really flimsy, and since whoever packaged it doesn’t seem to know what bubble wrap is, I had to make some minor repairs after unboxing it. I can’t say that I could recommend this at the price I paid for it.

Horrible Quality
Wow what a pile of crap.i bought it because it said wooden so I figured it would be nicer than those little cheap plastic ones. It's not. very poorly crafted out of cheap wood horrible paint job and still reaked of spray paint out the box. Glue on the handle from the wrap. My kids probably going to break it just from opening it.
