Apple iPad Pro 9.7-inch, 128GB, Wi-Fi + 4G LTE Cellular, Space Gray (Renewed)

[NOTE: This is an initial review, and I'm very happy. If anything changes, I'll update the review later.] I've had both good and bad previous experiences buying refurbished/restocked items at Amazon and elsewhere. It's a risk, and I always make sure I have the option to return the item. This time, it appears I've lucked out, in a VERY good way. I should note that I purchased from the seller "Prime Mobility" and can't speak to whether other sellers are as good. I chose this seller based on the number/percentage of previous positive reviews. I debated whether to buy this iPad Pro via Amazon Renewed. I was a little worried about some of the problems previous buyers mentioned in negative reviews (for all sellers). But in the end, the HUGE cost savings were worth possibly being inconvenienced by needing to return a bad item. I bought the iPad Pro 9.7" with the additional cellular functionality AND the 256GB hard drive. These same specs currently cost $700 through Apple's official Certified Refurbished Program (and they don't have the Space Gray color I wanted). I was able to get it here for under $400, which was insanely low and worth the risk. The item arrived in a generic brown box (not Apple-branded), but was very professionally packed and protected. I didn't know what to expect, but honestly was really, pleasantly surprised. If I hadn't known it was sold as refurbished, I wouldn't be able to tell it wasn't new. It didn't look just acceptable or good: it looked actually brand new, as if I'd gotten it from Apple. No scratches, dents or even dust/fingerprints. It's fully possible this was an Open-Box item that has never been used, and was just repackaged. It even came in the same custom, form-fitting plastic packaging sleeve Apple uses, which increases my hunch it's never actually been used. Maybe I just got lucky, but I'm not complaining. The ONLY small negative was that it came without any initial charge, and a correct but unimpressive third party charger, but that's NOT a big deal if you're saving over $300. When I placed my order, I'd also spent $15 on a very high quality Anker charger and cable, so was prepared, and just charged it for a couple of hours before set-up. Reviewers complaining so much about the chargers need to realize how cheap good replacements are, and that this is a very small matter compared to the massive savings on the tablet. You should always have an extra charger anyway, so just buy a couple of good, cheap spares. Setting up the tablet has gone perfectly, and I had no trouble updating to the newest iOS, using the fingerprint sensor, setting up wifi or installing my cellular data SIM card. Everything seems to work perfectly (I checked every function to be sure), and it runs like an iPad straight from the factory. For all intents and purposes, I now have a a tablet indistinguishable from a NEW iPad Pro or a certified refurbished one from Apple. I'll update this review if any problems arise in the next month, but so far the item has me confident this won't happen. I'm very glad I took the risk of buying this refurbished/renewed, and was able to get the tablet for a huge discount.

Perfect state

I bought this renewed 128 GB Wi-Fi + LTE model in Space Gray from Chrome Source on Amazon.com, and it has far exceeded my expectations. Here’s what stood out: Performance is excellent. The device is snappy, apps load fast and switching between them feels smooth. LTE connectivity works seamlessly — being able to use data on the go gives me real freedom. A strong 5-star buy. I’m really pleased with it and would definitely recommend this exact model (128 GB Wi-Fi + LTE, 9.7”) to anyone who wants a high-quality tablet without paying top-dollar for brand-new.

I bought this refurbished iPad and selected the “excellent condition” version - it arrived with with the corners very scuffed up (like it had been dropped and scraped against pavement) Right out of the box The battery was completely dead and took several hours to charge to 100% with the charger & block they sent with it. The battery did not hold its charge and drained very fast , I took it into an electronic fix store and they tested the battery and said it’s a bad battery and would cost more to fix it than it’s worth. This iPad should never have been marked as “excellent refurbished condition” Steer clear! It’s not worth the money or frustration.

Had some issues but my sister loved it

I don't usually do reviews, but I found this to be an amazing deal. I was looking for a replacement for my sons iPad Pro that was warped and stumbled across this Amazon Renewed program. Although the refurbished products are not "Apple Certified", the 90-day supplier-backed warranty, including a 90-day return or replace policy, gave me the peace of mind to give it a shot. Needless to say, the device was in pristine condition without a blemish on it anywhere. My product was fulfilled by CR Land, and so far I am not disappointed. As indicated in other reviews, I received the charger intended for use in iPods and iPhones, which is woefully inadequate for iPads, especially iPad Pros. This was not unexpected thanks to earlier reviews, and thankfully I have a surplus of transformers and some kick-butt higher output chargers from Anker. So the device arrived with a 60% charge, so I immediately restored from a back-up and after I dropped in a sim card the device worked like a champ. A note on the sim card, I forgot that iPad Pros had a removable sim, so I mistakenly returned my sons old iPad Pro with the sim still installed. This oversight forced me to go to an AT&T store to get a new sin and register it to the device. Fortunately the associate was very sympathetic and replaced the sim card with no charge. So, if you find yourself replacing a device, remove the sim card and save yourself a trip.

I just got the iPad Pro 9.7 and I have only been using it for a few days, but I can say that it was packaged extremely well. The company does require signature confirmation when it is dropped off unless you declined it with UPS. It looked like a brand new iPad when I opened the package. There was absolutely no scratches on the screen. I immediately popped it into its cover. The IPad Pro 9.7 did not have a charge when it arrived. However, it did come with the actual Apple branded iPad 12 volt block and Apple branded cord. I left it to charge overnight and it reached 100% charge in the morning. It Is still at 81% after three days with occasionally use. The battery symbol is a little different than the one on my iPhone 7 so it may not be an actual Apple branded battery. I am not sure. The iPad Pro 9.7 is just the right size for me. I already had the 57 pencil - not the Apple Pencil - which worked immediately without requiring any set up at all. With the four year warranty, I feel confident that I have purchased a great product.

I purchased this iPad Pro 9.7 without doing any research, this will never happen again. It works fine performs and looks like new but had l known there were no future OS updates l would not have purchased it. My iPad Generation 8 needed a new motherboard, l ordered this the same day l received the news due to cost, I also purchased the two year warranty. From what l read there may possibly be some security updates. I am happy with my purchase and based on its performance now l hope it exceeds its warranty.

Me gusto que llegó el tiempo indicado. Viene en perfectas condiciones, no trae rayones ni golpes y en las especificaciones de la compra era de 128g y llegó de 250 g. Lo único que noté es que la pila como que se consume muy rápido pero la seguiré probando estos días 😊
