I have 3 that keep going off at night when no fire. Anyone know why?

It’s the battery warning. Makes a dreadful noise when they need replacing. We found we had to buy a whole new unit, which we did on Amazon.

How can I unlock the plate from alarm? Iy locked before puting it on the ceiling ??

The detector head can be separated from the baseplate by depressing the security tag on the side of the alarm and twisting the alarm anticlockwise.

I’d like one of these for my kitchen but i’m worried it will keep going off if i burn the toast ! can i switch off a false alarm easily?

Hi I have one in the utility room and one in the hallway. This avoids alarm going off if toast or similar burns. I did thus to avoid the scenario you mention.

Look at the underside of the fixing plate. You will see a gap in the edge. At this gap there is a release pin on the side of the alarm. Push the pin in and turn the head off the plate.
