I have used two stain colours on several items now. One being my banister and another being my worktop in my campervan. I love working with this. It is such a good quality. It’s really effective and really doesn’t need a lot at all. Great coverage. Great value for money and highly recommended. My handrail was stained a year ago and has heavy usage, still looks great.

Used this on some pine steps leading up to a roof terrace to blend in with the old staircase that I have taken down to wood. This was really easy to apply just poured it into a bowl and used an old cotton cloth after a very light sand. I didn't clean the steps as wanted to do this quickly and the instructions warned against putting it on anything already wet. It didn't make any difference as far as I can see. It went on well, you can still see the grain and I put on quite a lot to make it darker. Easy to use, quick to dry and it didn't smell at all which was a bonus. Completely happy with it. I can't comment on durability but this was much easier to do than I thought. Good overall product. Most of the bottle left but in fairness I only did two steps as per the photo.

Product does what it’s meant to but ordered medium oak but was given antique pine but I didn’t realise til I had opened and already started using so make sure you check before using.

Got this to change the colour of a purchase which didn't match. Took only 2 coats, which dry quickly and evenly, to get to the shade I wanted and looks great.

ive been working with stains about 20 years and as water based stains go this is very good, i would say the medium oak colour is bang on, it goes on well and is fairly easy to get a consistent stain. so why the 3 stars? well im afraid i fell into the amazon prime trap, i needed medium oak stain next working day and i ordered rustins for 5 quid, it was terrible and amazon refunded, because it let me down and i was i a rush without thinking i defaulted to amazon prime forgetting that the likes of wood finishes direct can supply next working day . the end result? i spent £14 on something thats really only worth £6 or so.. this stain is good but for 500ml its really over priced, dont buy this if you have a big project to do

I really like Littlefair's stains and have bought quite a few of the different colours. I love the English Oak and Dark Walnut ones. This time I bought the Medium Oak stain - the colour was a little bit too yellow for my taste but I was able to get a colour I liked by mixing with the others I have. As the stains are water-based, I also sometimes dilute them when I just want a really light stain. Overall, they work really well.

Great co Fred to shelfs woth this darken down the wood to match my coffee sign for the kitchen good stain put it on with a sponge did the trick ! I will buy again true to colour i bought meduim oak stained shelfs from pine one coat

Vorneweg: ich habe zuvor noch nie lasiert, bin also Änfänger und kann keinen Vergleich zu anderen Lasuren ziehen Ich habe mir diese Lasur gekauft, in der Hoffnung den schrecklichen Orangeton meines Wildeiche-Lowboards zu überdecken, aber die Maserung zu behalten. Da ich davon ausging, dass ich dafür zwangsweise eine dunklere Farbe nehmen muss, habe ich "Eiche Dunkel" gewählt. Nach rund 3 Schichten (mit 50mm Pinselbreite aufgetragen) war ich mit dem Ergebnis zufrieden. Ich habe dann die Oberseite noch einmal leicht abgeschliffen, damit es wieder schön glatt wird. Dabei hat sich ein wenig Farbe gelöst aber sichtbar heller wurde es nicht. Ich überlege schon weitere Farben zu kaufen, um meine alte Kiefertreppe aufzuhübschen.

Really easy to apply with a sponge and results in a smooth, consistent colour. Medium oak on the bedframe photo, some varnish applied as well. The medium oak was a tad lighter than expected (light oak on the left and medium oak on the right in the photo). Not a bad thing as it gives the wood a slightly warmer look than the light oak without becoming too dark.

Very nice stain. A little goes a long way, so it’s a great value for the money. There is no stickiness, and it’s very easy to change hues with additional coats.

This stain is excellent. It's user-friendly and lacks the typical odor of traditional stains. I recommend using gloves with the rag technique, as it also stains hands quite effectively!
