Intralabs Pure CMC Powder 25g Tylo Tylose Gum Tragacanth Sub Cake Edible Glue Sugarpaste

This is great for adding to ordinary fondant, ready made, it turns it into modelling fondant which is what I needed to create Rose's and flowers. You only need a very tiny amount, so the bag will last me for ages and ages. You can also make glue with it that is edible. Excellent product.

I bought this powder as a natural thickener for artist's eco inks extracted from plants. However, I found that it was also excellent as a Nori substitute for attaching fine Japanese woodblock prints to a stiffer backing without wrinkling. It leaves no visably noticeable rim where the glue line finishes. I could have wished for better instructions however; I added a tsp to a large cup of water to whisk, but lumps of gell formed straight away, so I had to put it in a liquidiser. It immediately frothed up, but settled overnight to the consistency of runny honey.

It's not great. It just makes it dry out, doesn't make it more elastic and more workable. I dont recommend for icing. Haven't made the edible glue yet but hopefully it works for that.

Be careful when using. I weighed 8 grams per kilo of fondant icing but it became very gritty and hard to work. When put into a mould was OK but I had crumbs everywhere when trying to knead it

Easy to use, all the instructions are given. Taking some time to work, but it’s worth it
