ILEPARK Nylon Mesh Dog Muzzle with Overhead Strap for Small,Medium and Large Dogs,Prevent from Biting, Barking and Chewing(M,Black)

Bought this as my lovely mutt is quite unhappy when i try to groom him and will snap when he gets stressed. I know he is not going to bite me but this is not doing either of us any good in the confidence stakes!! He needs regular grooming as he is a westie/yorkie mix with long hair thats matts in a blink of an eye and also needs regular nail trimming. This product in size S is a perfect fit. So far, with a little game of treats dropped in snout area, he was wearing this within 10 minutes at which point i removed so he doesn't get stressed and will repeat a few more times before introducing nail clippers.....! So, so far so good, but real test will be if he will let me trim nails...and not try to remove muzzle..!!

The quality is OK but my dog just isn't the right shape for it (labrador) it's big around her neck but too short for her snout and the top of her head. This is the prefect muzzle for dogs with shorter snouts and maybe this should be reflected in the description.

It was the only thing that worked for us. We were very uncomfortable about muzzling the dog, but this one let her breathe almost normally and prevented her from licking her wound. We distracted the dog when she tried to take it off at first and she soon got used to it. We pulled it back a little once it was in place to ensure that she had air round her snout. Don’t give up, it really does work.

I don't think it's a particularly awful muzzle, it's just not made for all dogs. For our cockapoo it is near useless. It won't sit it on his head and stay there, however, I think this is more to do with the breed and the shape of the forehead, than the actual muzzle.Also, not really ideal for warm weather. Dog seems to struggle to breathe. I'm sure he'd be fine but it's not something we want to take a risk on, he'd probably just be uncomfortable more than anything.The mesh is of decent build quality, as are the straps. Our other muzzle is made by this company and we're very happy with it. This one isn't poorly made, just poorly designed.

I bought this muzzle for my dog after he needed surgery due to eating a piece of bark. He adapted really well to it despite not having had a good experience with muzzles in the past. The only reason I stopped using it was because a friend who is a vet pointed out that my dog couldn't pant when wearing it. I switched to a cage muzzle because my dog now needs it on all of his walks. This muzzle was otherwise good quality and I was pleased with the purchase.

I’m sorry to say that although the design looked superb it isn’t at all suitable for my patterdale terrier. The centre strap on the Xs muzzle even when tight slips because the alteration slide buckles are in the way tokeep it smooth on her head. She’s used to an open ended muzzle and is still able to eat rubbish with it on, which is why I wanted something with the snout covered. I’m wondering if a dog with a wider forehead would be able to wear this style more successfully. I would suggest a more thorough testing with the straps in various positions before offering this design again.

Measured my dog carefully. Ordered the correct size. Put it on him just to stop him eating cat poo and he was absolutely fine wearing it but I left him less than a minute and he had it pulled off. I checked I had put it on correctly and put it back on. Again less than a minute and this time It was hanging round his neck again but my other dog had it in her mouth and nearly choked him.Useless design

Arrived quickly. I needed it to stop my dog chewing a. Leg bandage following surgery.It fitted well and easy to use, he was able to open his mouth and pant so not too restrictive.My only issue was the strap from nose end, between the eyes and to the strap at the back of his head. He was able to push it to the side, with his paws, and get his nose out. When I tightened it so he couldn't push it, it was then too tight rubbing against the end of his nose.It served a purpose, but not perfect.
