My bathroom habits have worsened over the past few months. I’ve tried several products with various amounts of success. Functional Constipation – A chronic condition with no identifiable physical cause, often related to lifestyle factors. Secondary Constipation – Caused by an underlying condition (diabetes, hypothyroidism, neurological disorders, etc.) or medications. This matters when choosing a remedy — a stimulant laxative like the Herbal Nitro My Gentle Detox (which activates intestinal muscles) works well for slow transit constipation, but may be less effective for pelvic floor dysfunction, which often requires physical therapy. My issue has to do with muscular issues resulting from a partial hernia that causes spasms in my abdomen that prevents normal bowel movement. Straining is the one thing I have to avoid which makes it 20 times worse. I've found that using Gentle Detox along with drinking 6 oz. of prune juice helps to "prime the pump" so to speak. I also realized that I should have been taking it at bedtime which I didn't do at first. Changing my diet was another factor that determined how effectively the Detox would work. Of course if ou're an IBS sufferer, then you already know what foods to eat and which to avoid. The bottom line is that this product will not work for everyone because no two constipation conditions are the same. You may have diarrhea for a day which may not be what ou expected...BUT it's a hell of a lot better than feeling like nothing is moving out the exit.

Sorry. Did not help us at all. ☹️. Constipation treatment differs tremendously from person to person. This probably works for a lot of people, just not us.

I was always bloated with and thing i ate. This has been a gut savior. Its genle and does the job. You can take then daily or every other depending on how you feel. Highly recommend it.

ALWAYS do research before you buy! I wish I would have before I bought this product. I did the research AFTER I read the WHOLE bottle. I am glad that I took the time to read it. It could have caused me major problems if I had taken it. I used ChatGPT. It gave me lots of good info about how it WOULD have interacted adversely with some of my prescription medication!!! Cascara and Senna are both laxatives. This can be dangerous taking it with SOME prescription medication. Please do your research before taking this product.
