I bought the Smiledrive portable air quality monitor because I wanted something more detailed than the basic air quality indicator on my air purifier. It’s been quite useful, especially for seeing how the air changes before and after running a purifier. It measures quite a few parameters, including PM2.5, PM1.0, PM10, HCHO (formaldehyde), TVOC, temperature and humidity, along with an overall air-pollution/AQI reading. I actually tested it alongside my Coway Airmega 150. Before switching on the purifier, I got: AQI: 260 – Poor PM2.5: 108 µg/m³ PM1.0: 82 µg/m³ PM10: 125 µg/m³ HCHO: 0.081 mg/m³ TVOC: 0.334 mg/m³ After running the Coway for around 20 minutes, the readings dropped to: AQI: 25 – Good PM2.5: 15 µg/m³ PM1.0: 11 µg/m³ PM10: 17 µg/m³ HCHO: 0.079 mg/m³ TVOC: 0.326 mg/m³ The drop in PM2.5 from 108 to 15 was particularly interesting to see. It gave me a much better idea of how effective the purifier was in my room instead of simply relying on the purifier’s own indicator. One thing worth mentioning is that these are Chinese made air quality monitors, and you’ll find essentially the same type of device being sold under different brand names and with different logos stamped on the front. From what I’ve seen, many of these models appear to use very similar or sometimes identical hardware internally, with the branding being different. So I wouldn’t necessarily pay a huge premium just because one has a different brand name. Also, I wouldn’t consider this a laboratory grade instrument, so I wouldn’t take every reading as an absolute scientific measurement. For me, its biggest advantage is being able to consistently monitor trends and compare before/after readings. The display is clear, it shows a lot of information at once, and being portable makes it easy to move between rooms

I have used this product for 24 hours. It is a good indicator of the pollution level. I check at various locations and with air purifiers on and off. And it is able to give a good reading. It was also very easy to use with all data available on a single threshold. I am still to use the logging functionality and it could be handy to monitor levels over a period. It feels good to hold in the hand and it is quite portable. My only qualm is with the battery life and charging. It has a USB C port but it doesn't work with all cables. You need to use the cable in the box only to charge it. And there's a specific instruction in the box, to not to use it with fast chargers. Which is a challenge, because you can't always figure out whether a charge is a fast charger or not. Even after charging, the battery life is quite short. Would have been great to have replaceable batteries instead.

Good product

When the air was bad, garbage was being burnt at a distance, it showed a 35 aqi. Review update: the company contacted after we put the review, and instead of telling us how to fix the device (if it could) they wanted engagement (which is fine) but instead of steps to fix they said "It seems that there is no way that an Indian online brand can get through to customers!". I am hugely disappointed by the product, but also how this review was linked to "India" When I questioned their narrative they abruptly closed the discussion by saying "Facto non verba". While products can be improved, the behaviour of the seller was worse.

Great build and easy interface. Accurate live readings which I cross checked with air purifier indication. Very portable to carry to any room or place. Long lasting rechargeable battery. 5k is worth the product.

Great. Well built and accurate.

Overall it is a good product although I feel it fails to capture very high pm2.5 levels, I live in Noida and have never measured more than 250-270 pm2.5 level which was on days much less than government and other public monitors data available online. It works to provide a general range of pollution and has higher accuracy than the in built aqi meters in purifiers. It's a good buy for this budget.

Working as expected. For Ambient Air Pollution checking, this is the best device in my opinion. Read some reviews where reviewers try and match with public data- what is the point in buying this device then??! Registered warranty online and got instant confirmation on email. UPDATE AFTER TWO WEEK USAGE Kept air purifier off in bedroom and the Air Pollution level climbed to an Alarming 340. Overnight purifier kept on and the level came down to 116. Battery holding up good. Kids in the house getting super excited!
