I got this to use with my Logan mat cutter and it works better than I expected. It’s cheaper than the Logan brand cutter and feels sturdier than the plastic ones I’ve used in the past. Easy to use as well.

a good device that takes a little practice to use properly

I found this Mat Cutter takes a little practice and getting used to in order to get your lines precise. You will need a ruler or straight edge in order to get a straight line, which is understandable. I like the way they have it set up to be able to adjust your blade depending on the thickness of the paper you are using. The manual doesn’t give you a whole lot of instruction on setting up the blade and using the tool and found that I had to go back to the website to watch the video on how to assemble and use it. All in all, it works good, you just need to go slow and have a few patience.

This mat cutter fits nicely in my hand. It is heavier than I thought it would be as it is made of metal with a nice rubber grip on the handle. The instructions are not very good, but it's easy to figure out how to install the blades. This cutter makes nice straight cuts and is easy to use. But it only makes 90 degree cuts which is fine for my use, but some people might need a 45 degree cut so keep that in mind. It comes with 5 blades but the cardboard sleeve they put them in will break a part as soon as you open it so you will need someplace to keep the spare blades. Also, the blades are reversible which is good. I like this mat cutter as it works well for what I'll be using it for. It is solid built and will last for many years to come.

This thing is heavier than I thought it would be! It feels really solid, which is great, but it came with a set of absolutely useless instructions. The extra razors came in a little cardboard sleeve that basically disintegrated the second I opened it, so now I’ve got a bunch of stray blades with nowhere to store them. I figured it might have a compartment inside, like a box cutter, to keep extras, but nope. Thankfully I was able to figure out how to take the side off to insert the blade, but now I just need to find a safe home for the rest and remember where I put them when it’s time to swap them out. The tool itself is sturdy steel with good quality rubber grips on the bottom and the handle. It doesn’t slip or slide around, which is a lifesaver when you’re trying to make clean cuts. Once you get past the confusing setup, it works really well and makes a huge difference in speed when cutting through large amounts of cardboard. My recycling guys probably appreciate that almost as much as I do lol.
