Great for old electronics.
I like to repair old electronics. Things like Atari consoles, Commodore computers, etc. Most of these old electronics use an RF signal to connect to the cable/antenna input on a TV. These old electronics were not designed for the massive amounts of wireless noise in today's air. It can be very difficult to get these consoles to work today. If they do work, they output a very fuzzy signal. This amplifier is often times the difference between no signal, and a perfectly clear signal. I have had consoles that didn't appear to work at all, then I plug this in, and they give a very good pictures. I would recommend this product to anyone who has old game consoles that use the antenna jack on their TV.

No improvement on signal, actually lost a couple channels altogether
This RCA 10 dB amp did not work for me. I had it hooked up straight from an indoor antenna to a converter box. No long cable runs or signal splitter. With such a straightforward rig thought for sure I would see a signal boost. However, I ended up losing a couple channels like ABC and FOX. I also did not notice any signal improvement on channels that I did get. Bottom line, signal worked better without this amp in the circuit. It's a mystery to me why it didn't work.

Does the job
The non-HD secondary output of my DISH dual zone DVR is on the other side of the house from my computer which has an EYE TV built hooked up to it. The signal was weak from the long cable run so I installed the amp in the line near the DVR. I could have used a bit more boost, but it did clean up the signal. For the price, can't really complain.

Works OK for me
I recieved the 12 db power unit instead of the 10 db, which is OK with me. In my situation this device helped by improving the reception with my HD tuner. However the difference in not extreme, but it is an appreciable difference that makes the TV much more watchable. I actually use two of these devices, one in the attic near the attenna, an another on the other end of the cable, on the ground floor near the TV. The result is that the TV is watchable and recieves most of the local channels. These devices are not expensive but the help they provided really made a difference in my installation.

The perfect compliment for your antenna
We recently cut our ties with DirecTV and just went with over the air digital signal. The RCA outdoor antenna worked great, but occasionally the picture pixelated. Having read reviews and experiences of others, I bought this signal amplifier and was blown away by the difference this little device made. We had very good HD quality, but this made it even better AND we found 4 more stations that we weren't getting previous to using this.Better picture, no pixelation and more channels! Great Deal!

Didn't work well for DTV signals
Wanted to split my DTV Antenna signal to go to another DTV in the house. Barely made any difference at all only allowing reception of a few of the stronger DTV channel signals on the second DTV and no difference on the orignally connected DTV.

A potato would make a better amplifier.
I chose this item because of low price. I should have just flushed $15 down the sewer. A potato would have given me better reception. It not only didn't amplify the signal but if I connected it on signals that I could receive it would block them. Without the amplifier I could pick up 8 TV stations, with it I got zero. Because I used it on a TV at my second home I had to wait past the date to return the product to discover it was junk. I'm stuck with it now, nice shiny chrome box that does nothing. I am tempted to pry it open and see what they put in there. I suspect someone at the plant just stuffed the box full of stale rice left over from lunch and closed it up laughing all the way to the time clock.

Works great
I was skeptical about this, but installed it when I hooked up a 2nd tv (on an antenna) because neither was getting reception after hooking 2 up. Now both get good reception most of the time. It's an easy install - though I will have to wire up a new outlet in the ceiling of the basement so the wires don't have to be exposed all the time.
