A scratch vocal would have been helpful just to keep better track of where you are in the song, but it's pretty well done none the less. And, having the recorded song is helpful to her when I'm not there. We started with the song with the fewest number of chord changes (4) and she's slowly working through it and having fun with it. This is challanging for a beginner but could be a lot of fun for a youngster with intermediate Uke ability.

Nice book/cd set but challanging for beginners...
I got this (along with a Uke) for my 11 yr old granddaughter. The songs are familiar but most a little too difficult for a beginner. The accompanying CD is nicely done; each song is recorded twice, once with the uke in the arrangement and the second time without the uke so the student can add that part. A scratch vocal would have been helpful just to keep better track of where you are in the song, but it's pretty well done none the less. Décevant
Ce livre est décevant en raison de la forme des "tablatures". Pour jouer les chansons, la seule chose que l'on vous donne et qui soit utile sont les accords des chansons. Pas de tablature ni aucune aide sur le "strumming pattern". Je trouve ça d'autant plus étrange et frustrant que l'éditeur a pris la peine d'indiquer les notes de la ligne de chant sous forme de partition. Vous aurez évidemment le CDrom pour vous aider, mais on a droit à des pistes contenant des enregistrements "version groupe", c'est à dire ukulélé + guitare + batterie... Etant donnée le manque d'informations sur la manière dont attaquer les chansons, il aurait été plus judicieux d'ajouter une piste où on n'entend que le ukulélé. Il est impossible de copier les pistes audios sur le pc. Le mieux pour utiliser ces fichiers est d'utiliser le logiciel fourni dans le CDrom,, qui permet de ralentir la musique sans trop de distorsion et qui fonctionne plutôt pas mal. Tout ceci fait que ce play along est décevant, surtout en comparaison de ceux dédiés à la guitare (du moins pour le System of a Down)qui sont bien plus détaillés et complet. Si vous possédez les albums, vous devriez lui préférer le songbook "classique" pour ukulélé de Taylor Swift (du même éditeur), qui vous donnera les accords de beaucoup plus de chansons. VN
