My daughter and son in law got married in May of this year . They had dated through out high school and got back together the day after Christmas 2024 . So this isn’t going to be there first Christmas together BUT there first Christmas married . I wanted to get them something special as they have a “ Our first Christmas together “from when they dated before so when I came across this “Our first Christmas as Mr & Mrs . I thought how cute would this be to add to their tree this year . This ornament is perfect as they can add a picture ( I was thinking a picture of them at their wedding ) to it but left it empty so they can pick which picture they put inside , and it has the year right there on the front of it . The ornament is light weight & is made of a natural colored wood with the words printed in black different fonts so each word stands out . It’s in the shape of a diamond ring with twine to hang the ornament with 2 wooden beads and a black and red checkered ribbon . This is simple but very cute and will cherish the year they became Mr & Mrs . And can show case it every year to come on there tree . This is a great gift ( it comes in a box that you can use as a gift box and just hand it right to the person your gifting it to - as well as they can store it in there each year as well ) to give to the couple on Christmas , at their wedding or bridal shower as no matter what time their wedding was during the year they will be able to save and use it once they put up their tree . My daughter cryed when I gave it to her as she thought she would have to find just a regular ornament that said our first or first year as Mr & Mrs but now she can add her favorite picture and hopefully 10 years from now she their children how young and in love they were the year they got married . This is a cute ornament for a couple in their first year of marriage. It is made of thin wood and is light but not very substantial. Don’t think it will survive too many Christmases. Comes with a pattern to use for trimming a photo to fit. Hanger is made of twine with two wooden beads and a plaid ribbon. Back side is plain. I plan to include this in a bridal shower gift bag with another serious present. On its own, it wouldn’t be much of a present.
