Shall i use rust out in my brine tank when i have a separate green sand iron filter?

The rust created on internal parts of your resin bed is the primary reason to use this product. In order for the softner to work properly that resin bed needs to be clean of rust and iron.

If the white residue us scale, this might clean it. Rustoff is a dry acid type material, very harsh. I would buy the less harsh scale and lime cleaner.
