Review: Excellent introduction of Algebraic Topology for Biology - This book is accessible to mathematicians as well as biologists. It starts with the mathematical foundations of topological data analysis, in a clear, concise manner, and then presents how topology arises across the biological sciences, including phylogenetics, cancer and population biology. I have been asked many times to give lectures on "topological data analysis for biologists", and I am certain I will use this book (and references therein) when I finally write these lectures. It's a well thought out and excellent book. It should be on the bookshelves of mathematicians that are intrigued by biology as well as biologists looking for new ways to analyse data.
