Excellent product. I actually use this to colour my hair, colour is vibrant for an entire month. Which compared to mainstream funky colour is awesome.

This old time proven anti-fungal medicine works were others fail. I have used it for 50+ years to safely clear up skin cuts that would not close up on its own. Just allow time for it to dry before you put clothing over it or get in a tub as it will stain surfaces. I will never be without it. 3 bottles will last 5+ years. Keep it in a recycled jar with a lid to prevent spilling and gassing off.

Normally I really don't like using chemicals on our baby. I try to be cautious and avoid things like this. Obviously, this item is not a natural item or treatment. It's name sounds more gentle than it is, but there isn't actually any research that proves it can cause cancer in humans. That being said, knowing this I had to make a decision. Our baby had gotten a severe yeast rash infection. We went to the doctors who gave us an ointment with it's own side affects and risks. Nothing was helping, none of the diaper rash creams were working. She got so severe she was miserable. After applying this, she actually started clearing up quickly. It caused her rash spots to turn dark purple and fade away. Again, know the risks of using the item. For us she was safe and healed up very nicely. Don't let it sit in skin folds very long as it can cause the skin to die supposedly, but we were careful and had no issues. I recommend it if you have a severe baby yeast infection and need to treat it. It did not hurt her and caused her no harm. I was glad to be able to treat her when her doctor couldn't figure it out or care much about her pain.

My wife and I were looking for an all natural remedy to her thrush (she's breastfeeding). We applied the gentian violet treatment for about three days and she reported it as working well (all symptoms gone after day three). The baby displayed mild symptoms of thrush, but those also went away and he didn't seem to experience any discomfort. I like this but using it requires some care as it will stain whatever it comes into contact with. We used Q-tips to apply it and that seemed to work well for us. A little dab will do, and using a lot will likely not make it more effective, so be conservative (see it as painting, and it only needs the one coat). I like that this can also be used for general scrapes, though we aren't sure how that will work since it stains. Notes to reader: The label on the bottle says do not consume orally, but after research we decided it would be safe to use with our infant (not to drink, but for oral application). You should do your own research in general, or if you intend to use this in any way other than what/how is described on the label of the bottle. Also note that it can stain teeth (and nails), so you may want to think twice about using it in the mouth if teeth are present.
